The audio's in the audio forum. The beat will also be in the instrumental forum as well.

    Hook:

I grew up around fisticuffs and fists in cuffs, I thought the drugs and money would solve the conflict.
Some like to kiss and tell, others chose to kiss and touch, now everyone I know's a fiend or a convict.

    Verse 1:

I started out like any other pumping nickels and dimes, to pinch a pretty penny,
veni, vidi, vici; didn't pity any.
Hung with the homies hitting heem and Henney,
I was never trendy but because I had many I blew plenty Bennies.

Now I make amalgamations of rhythmic palpitations,
in cyphers salivating when calculating the salutation.
Seldom flexed on because I'm flaxen but because of my accent,
on the wax some say I act black-skinned.

But I don't even know what that means, I roll with rap fiends,
so before you make assumptions get your facts straight.
I mastered vernacular at a fast rate,
ever since way back I was even writing essays for my class-mates.

And just because you clowns sell a few pounds don't make you big shots,
just because you rap on a track don't make it hip-hop,
pop left my mouth with a grimy taste,
so I haven't listened to the radio since like 1998.

    Hook:

I grew up around fisticuffs and fists in cuffs, I thought the drugs and money would solve the conflict.
Some like to kiss and tell, others chose to kiss and touch, now everyone I know's a fiend or a convict.

    Verse 2:

I put my poems to a beat, now I've been rapping ever since,
and the census is that I am quite the clever gent.
Hence this tune I'll take to the podium soon,
I'm so dope I make the fields of opium bloom.

You should turn up your subs, just to feel the bass radiate,
spark the bud now as I get smooth with the 88.
    From 16's to six-strings it's instinct,
biters lose their breath even if they try to lip-sync.

And I'm not down with their palaver,
just another lyrical cadaver for the coroner to gather.
And I'd rather join the cypher of 25 to lifers.
Talking out your ass, and I'm sick of changing diapers.

My every word is credible, y'all speak in hypotheticals,
to me music is soul food, and microphones and edible,
it's legible. Come from off that pedestal,
if your sound-waves are in my air-space I'll disable every decibel.

    Hook:

I grew up around fisticuffs and fists in cuffs, I thought the drugs and money would solve the conflict.
Some like to kiss and tell, others chose to kiss and touch, now everyone I know's a fiend or a convict.

    Verse 3:

From Eureka to Raleigh, smoking on good bali,
getting lifted with my loved ones the night before I'm outy.
Find a place to put my feet up, a girl to roll my weed up,
keep your raps to yourself if your lyrics fuck my beat up.

Because I know the science I refuse to remain silent,
I've slain giants, two fingers up is my gang sign.
I'm better with words even if I pantomime, these rants of mine
are never random rhymes, I plan each line.

This handsome mind, inside my noggin got me bugging,
every time it's throbbing, I just plug in my piano.
I play the keys with the greatest of ease,
and I refuse to smoke weed if it's tainted with seed.

I can't call it, now-a-days they rap to fill their wallets,
so this one goes out to the hip-hop-aholics.
And for those of you waiting for my album to drop,
I'd rather it flop than ever let y'all think that it's pop.

    Hook:

I grew up around fisticuffs and fists in cuffs, I thought the drugs and money would solve the conflict.
Some like to kiss and tell, others chose to kiss and touch, now everyone I know's a fiend or a convict.

strong vocab, strong mechanics with some surprising twists of the tongue. Enjoyed the hook as well as verse 1 especially. good drop. A slightly above average swag and flow drop. props. imo

also I could not find the song in the link...would like to hear it. help a brother out. the delivery would make or break this..

If this piece had a face it would be like :chea:

This was very cleverly written and I enjoyed it immensely. Your rhyme scheme and choice of rhyming words were great. For whatever reason the Eminem Infinite beat came into my head as soon as I started reading which triggered my interest straight away. It definitely had the roots of someone who's involved in this genre of music that we know and love and as an avid listener and writer I re-read it a couple of times.

Do me a favour though, please respond to others before dropping your own in future, it keeps the forum nice and healthy.
