The arms industry comes in for a lot condemnation, said condemnation seemingly arising from the juvenile belief that if people didint make weapons then other people wouldnt have wars. This ignores that the hottest diasaster to be seen pretending to care about this season is darfur, a conflict in which the weapon of choice has been the humble machete.

If you people would think with your brains rather than your flamingo pink pussies it would quickly become clear to you that the cheif effect of the arms industry is to reduce the number of deaths from war, civillian casualties in particular. If you froze military technology in the 1950's, or at any other point in the past you choose, then in almost every conflict to occur after that cutoff point the casualties wouldve been substantially higher.

The arms industry has saved more lives than any banner waving peacenik. Fuck identity.

yes the weapon doesnt create the conflict..back in time machetes were used to cut through deep bush...point being , there will always be means to harm others, one way or another..

  6. Something to consider:

Effective military arms are designed not to kill, but to maim. And here's why.

If you kill one soldier, he is dead and he cannot operate any longer.

If you maim a soldier, he will require at least two people to carry him off the field, 50 some technicians and experts to infrastructurally provide medical material per wounded soldier, time to heal, and media negativity as the wounded veteran refuses to go back into conflict.

Additionally, the AK-47 (Thank you, Marxists, for your short-sightedness) has been the most produced automatic rifle in history. This has allowed access to a weapon that has been mostly comparible to what Industrial soceities are capable of putting out. Because of this, conflicts and rebellions that would have otherwise been easily crushed by government forces have been prolonged for decades at a time, extending the scope of both military and civilian casualities.

Above all, the lasting achievement of Socialism was not equality, unions, or freedom. It was single-handedly creating the vast infrastructure of automatic rifles that almost anyone in the Old World can tap into.

Post-colonialism is not a moral imperitive founded in white guilt (*cough* Id-X). It is militaristically-backed by over 70 million Klashnikovs and urban defensive advantage. The AK grants the post-colonial wielder the illusion of resistance and the idea that maybe capitulation isn't the only option.

    It won't last forever.

Good thing all those militant Christian fundies are out of here too...

    wait
    test
  10. Oh yeah, because militant Chrisitan fundamentalists are really the biggest threat in the known universe right now... not those responsible for the 700 million killed in 50 years who aggressively spread themselves out to all of Asia who now sell nuclear advice to whoever can afford it.

    Typical liberal deflection:

LOOK ITS THE KKK! HELP! RUN!

Uh... they killed 1,000 people in over 200 years...

    HELP HELP!

But Socialists have butchered at least that number every HOUR for 50 years straight....

    HELP HELP!! WHITE SHEETS!! HELP!

uhhhh...... wait, what? Lemme try and reframe this...

Aggressive murdering machine with great PR getting away with whatever they want to becauses of people like Id-X... hmmm....

White men in sheets terrorizing an insignificant portion of the a single population in a single nation....

HAI ID-X... explain to me in full dteail which religion between 1990-1999 particiapted in the most violent conflict, both internal and external? Here's a hint: It has nothing to do with a cross.

the point was that through some sort of twisted logic you've repeatedly pinned those deaths on Marx and other early socialist thinkers.

that hundreds of millions were killed in the name of socialism doesn't mean those responsible for those deaths represent socialism's initial intentions

that millions have been killed in the name of chritianity over the past couple millenia doesn't mean those responsible for the deaths represent christianity's initial intentions.

regardless of whether it's relevant or not, I'm curious as to why I've never seen you call for Jesus to be held responible for his ideas?

Interview with Karl Marx, Chicago Tribune, January 5 1879: "Well, then, to carry out the principles of socialism do its believers advocate assassination and bloodshed?" "No great movement," Karl answered, "has ever been inaugurated Without Bloodshed."

"… the very cannibalism of the counterrevolution will convince the nations that there is only one way in which the murderous death agonies of the old society and the bloody birth throes of the new society can be shortened, simplified and concentrated, and that way is revolutionary terror."
    - Karl Marx

"We have no compassion and we ask no compassion from you. When our turn comes, we shall not make excuses for the terror."
    - Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels

Engels to Wilhelm Blos, February 21, 1874: “The man is too wise. And on top of that, such offensive, vulgar, democratic arguments! To denigrate violence as something to be rejected, when we all know that in the end nothing can be achieved without violence!”

still[/I] not incompatible with the following...

the key difference between Marx and leaders in China/Russia/N. Korea/Cuba et. al?

    motive

it's kind of an important difference

  16. Because all religions burn themselves out with internal strife. The power of the Christian institution, in terms of realpolitik, is no where near what it once was, no matter how much you shout "The Sky Is Falling!"

The millions killed over a 1000 years pales in comparison to the millions killed in 50 years by the "prophet" Marx. You're comparing slingshots to ICBMs. It's not even remotely imaginable to put the two side by side.

the logic is the same. how come you don't employ it in both instances?
    test
  18. Because Marxism has better public relations, allowing it to mass produce AK-47s by the millions without scurtiny or criticism.

so this "holding an individual responsible for the consequences of their ideas" thing you drone on and on about only applies when you see fit.

    got it
    test
  20. If you are going to quote someone, quote them right, professor.

I hold ideas responsible for the individuals they make.

The only thing that prevents an idea from having to take responsibility for what individuals they create are almost two centuries of extremely propagandic public relations.. as is the case with Marxist morality.
