    the translation doesn't do the arabic justice, but it's the only thing we have.

    I like how Islam puts it simply The King, as if there could be no other. In Christianity, they refer to the King of Kings, which puts God on a pedestal above all other but seems to that that there are kings other than him - and Lord of Lords, which also would imply that there are others.

    king of kings is also up there, but the translation i got is straight from wiki.

    one of the names is malik-ul-maalik meaning just that, king of kings.

    but yeah, it's basically the only king. the sovereign.

    there's some verses in the qur'an where god is telling the arrogant unbelievers "where are your kings now? line them up infront of me".
