6 months is not a long time just try to rekindle that motivation somehow.

But a week break then and now can actually be "ben official".

Ohhhh man if I had points you would have gotten some for that one Haze lol.

Yeah breaks are good, you may start to get careless after a week though. How about doing at least one day of lifting in that week? Just go to failure on everything one day, blast uour body hard and then it's got some time to recooperate.

It's Monday! I don't workout on Saturday or Sunday, and I'm always fucking pumped for today and ready to go. T minus 45 minutes to upper body.

You should change up your work out.

If you've been doing the same routine for the past six months and just add more weight you might have platued.

Maybe rotate out some of your excercises and substitute similar ones that challenges the muscles differently, hit them at different angles, or at the least change it up the order you do them in after your one week respite.

yah my homeboy told me whenever you hit a plateau change what muscles you work and when you work them and take a week off or something.

I just took four days off and went back today. Felt like I could lift the whole freaking GYM up, man.

Quickly found out that I couldn't. I still got a good workout in. Y'know, one that I'm really gonna pay for tomorrow ....

    .... when I go back.

    I am sore as fuck

I've been to the gym twice since my 1 week break, and I've already moved up a notch on every machine.

Next time I go I'll be able to bench my weight.

I think the break did me well, I'ma take one now whenever I start to plateau

    It's good to take breaks.

    People don't take enough.

You should only lift each muscle twice a week.

I don't care what anyone says.

I used to do full body Mon. Wed. and Fri.

Than I got fatigued so now I only do it on Mon. and Thursday or Friday

And my weight keeps going up and I got energy for those 2 days to crush hard.

I think a break is healthy every once in a while. It gives you a chance to recoup and to really analyze if you're going where you wanna be going. It allows you to make some changes to shit if you feel you're not on track to get your goals. I know from my own experience ppl go through ups and downs of motivation... some days I show up and I'm on top of the world, I push myself til I'm bout to break... then other days I can barely work up enough vigor to show up.

The key is, don't make it a habit. A few months back I kinda slipped into a slump... and it was one of those 'well, I didn't go last week on monday, ill start fresh next week' and if you're always thinkin' of 'startin' fresh', you'll NEVER start fresh. No reason to put off for tomorr- well, yall know the phrase.
