Seriously, Tracy McGrady has some of the most natural, God-given talent the game has ever seen. For NBA fans to not be able to fully enjoy him at his best is an absolute tragedy of epic proportions. As one notable observer put it: "He is the smoothest player I have ever watched. He's like that guy at the gym who you know is better than everyone else but is just toying with everyone by coasting. Except he does it in the NBA." All he needed was the right coach to guide him past that "gym-pimp" phase of his and that one extra piece alongside him to get him what he was destined to have... an NBA Championship. He got them both in Jeff Van Gundy and the burgeoning giant that is Yao Ming. It's too bad that his 2000-03 athletic explosiveness couldn't come along for the ride. David Stern should designate a week of mourning for T-Mac's plight by having every team in the league wear all-black shadow jerseys like the one seen below: When all players wear this jersey in their games, it will symbolize how the game as a whole has been affected by T-Mac's struggles... lost, in disarray, and not played to its full potential. R.I.P.
