http://www.thelocal.ch/20131024/swiss-backing-rises-for-reduced-exec-pay If this passes the highest paid Executive cannot make more than 12x that of the lowest paid worker. The Swiss also follow "in good faith" (ie. you cannot loophole it by having two companies, with the Execs in one and the associates in another, and the Execs owning the associate business as a subsidiary). Even summoning hordes of temp agencies and third party services wouldn't help. If it appears they're in the same company then this law would apply. TBH? Bullshit. Companies have associates such as janitors. There is no justifiable reason for a company to link the salary of its CEO to the wage of its janitors. We pay our janitors like $10 / HR ($21,000 approx). The most we can pay the CEO is $120 / HR ($250,000 approx)? Keep in mind that $10 for a janitor is high... Fucking bananas. All this will do is push Swiss based companies out of the country. Sure, you stood up for the little man, but you just fucked your national economy in the ass 12 times with this decision. I seriously hope this law fails so that other EU countries don't get pressure fucked by their retarded citizenry into following suit. I think the scariest thing is the gateway it would open for other nations to attract Swiss business (ie. China "hi guys we don't limit Executive pay to 12x, and we offer all these subsidies!"). Just think if other nations followed suit... real terror bros.
