Recently, I was added as one of RM's front page contributors.
You can read my first article here: RM Artist Spotlight: MarcusBLACK (My second article is a full-length feature on Nocando's Hellfyre Club, on the way up).

There is something special about my addition to the team... in my highly biased opinion... because I am a visible, lifelong member of the board/forum side of the website.

While most of our front page editorials here are more SEO friendly, current events and 'hot topic' based posts (very useful/necessary for us), I'm dedicating my time pursuing stories more relevant to the underground/urban niche. That includes you guys, your friends, and the people we've known on the boards for years.

I am a documentary-style writer. I'm not going to post "news", and I'm not a reviewer/critic. So, that isn't going to happen. I'm also not going to post random videos. These are going to be in depth articles. I spend time on my writing and won't post work without substance.

Needless to say, I have a lot of creative freedom thanks to RM. I'm willing to cover anything, but want to know what you guys are hopeful for. Take the opportunity as seriously as I am, and we can turn the front page into a valuable resource for underground artists of all kinds.

What/who do you want to see on the front page of RapMusic.com?

Your answer doesn't have to be one name or a list of names, but feel free to share ideas, as well. Get creative. I'll see what I can do.

That's a problem that my articles hope to fix. The front page gets from 100k to 200k views per month according to conservative estimates. But because the 'locals' are not represented, those of us here in the forums aren't utilizing it or bothering to look.

Well I think the main problem is social media.
People hear say everything and then don't bother to actually read an article to find out the truth.

    Best of luck!!
    I look forward to reading.

There is definitely truth to that! Hopefully, there are enough people still looking for the "fuller experience".

Journalism isn't dead, yet!! Thanks for dropping by.

We already have that @brodeezy. That doesn't help the board members who are putting 100% into a career in music or the arts in any way.

    But thanks for the suggestion.
