I saw. That makes one ESPN analyst for Marion and 8 for Nash. Your point?

all his points were vailid thats my point. he's right Marion should atleast be in the MVP talks. Just like Dawayne Wade. just Like Lebron. Marion is just as pivital to the Suns sucess as Nash. but Nash gets more credit.

    Shawn Marion 06 MVP motherfuckers

why the fuck isn't elton brand in mvp talks?

25 pts., 10 reb., 2.5 blk, and leading the clippers to the playoffs?

    what the fuck, man?!

better statistical years than k.g., tim duncan, and dirk.

    i give up. whatever.

He's nowhere near as "pivital" to the success of the Suns as LeBron is to the Cavs, Wade is to the Heat, Brand is to the Clippers, Dirk is to the Mavs and so-on.

(golly, I feel like Brahman saying this) You could enter a number of players in his role and they would achieve similar play. 7 people are having career years for Phoenix. Boris Diaw.. Tim Thomas.. Raja Bell.. [funny] The way they play is more a testament to the greatness of Steve Nash- Marion is not the guy setting them up and running offense for them.

How quickly you forget. Iceodu was your buddy alongside you making a case for Marion in the Marion>McGrady thread.

My goodness.. you will blow a gasket if anyone says ANYTHING negative about your boy.

He's a great player, no doubt.. but he's not a playmaker and he's not the Suns MVP.

I forgot exactly WHO said it, but on ESPN.com's MVP poll the question was asked "Where would the Suns be if Nash missed 66 games instead of Amare?"

    Beats me.

You don't hear Dirk, Brand or LeBron in the conversations enough.

I guess it's basically dwindled down to Nash Wade or Kobe (and yes I will murk someone if Kobe wins it. I think he's the best player in the league- but most valuable.. lmfao, he shouldn't be in the discussion).

when stephen a raises his voice is so obviously unecessary half the time, its just flat out annoying, and im sure his voice was raised during his marion for mvp rant which would make his announcement ridiculous AND annoying. glad i missed it.

but wtf is the logic behind this? did you guys see the pacer game? marion's offense consists of making eye contact with steve nash, running towards the hoop, and catching either alley oops or chest passes 1 foot or closer away from the basket.

the guy's a good player, a very good player, but mvp? shut the fuck up. elton brand is 17x the mvp candidate that marion is.

elton's 3rd in my list, and im a clipper fan. i've got nash, lebron then brand. i take the mvp literally, meaning i think the player most valuable to his team's success should win the award. steve nash taking that team of d-leaguers + shawn marion to a division title is incredible. lebron getting 30, 6, 6 a night leading his team to home court in the 1st round is impressive. elton brand though, is on a team with probably the 2nd best starting 5 in the league, so he doesn't stand out as much as everyone else in contention does. but elton brand is way more of a candidate than shawn marion is, i mean, c'mon.
