What's the pros and cons for each.
Why do you do the one you do?
i do full body workouts..3 times a week
for me its just easier if i work out everything i can on a day, for anyone who isnt into serious bodybuilding like me, its the best thing to do
unless you wanna live a bodybuilding lifestyle and become a pro, this works best for you if you just want to stay in shape
agreed...i do this during busier times in my life. do a couple exercises per muscle group and/or a lot of compound exercises, and never do them to failure. that way it tones and keeps everything in place, but doesn't require a lot of recovery before the next workout.
when I'm busier I split up my workouts. For example now I can only make it to the gym 3 days a week for a very very short time. So I'll hit legs SUPER hard for 25-30 mins, chest/back SUPER hard for 25-30 mins another day, etc. That gives me a week to recover which is good because sometimes I'm sore for 2-3 days.
I'd probably be on the full body/3 days a week schedule if I had more time to spend in the gym
I workout like this.
Mon - Legs
Tues - Chest
Wed - Off
Thu - Back
Fri - Biceps, Shoulders
Sat - Off
Sun - Triceps, cardio
Both have their benefits, split helps you target certain muscles and give them more recovery time. Full body is good because it creates more HGH production and is a time saver.
I do both and switch it up. Fuck only sticking to one or the other.
I've done both, but I get better results when I split it up...a lot of people who don't know how to workout properly will do a whole body workout adn be dead tired the rest of the day to the point where they can't do shit else. Idk, when I do split workouts (which is what I do now) it just gives me more control. I can pretty much tell when I've done all I can handle.
with full body workouts though you can get tired REALLY fast if you push yourself hard...then u'll think ur done..and like 4 minutes later ur ready to lift more.
thats just me tho..
Splits, I used to do full body and eat a protein bar inbetween half way but that shit ain't workin as good.
I hit a fuckin brick by the way benching, I've been at 315 for about a month now.
I do this shit...
Mon: Chest ---> Triceps ---> Running
Wed: Shoulders ---> Running
Fir: (I may or may not Bench Press) ---> Back ---> Biceps ---> Running
I prefer split...right now I'm working on..
Monday: Chest and Back
Friday: Shoulders and Arms
Sunday: Bodyweight exercises
That's my lifting routine...doesn't include the cardio or mma training I do.
chest and back? wow why would u target 2 major muscle groups in 1 day? thats suicide..
my abs recover extremely quickly so depending how i feel, i might squeeze in a few ab exercises on fri or sat or on my off days
Good shit. I'll read it later.
chest and arms
shoulders back, legs
All that idiot worries about is his bench.
And all you worry about is me.
Everytime I post, you're behind me insulting me.
You're so worried about me. I know you dream and think about me when you get off the site.
It's ok, just don't try to clown me when I'm stronger, smarter, better looking and an overall way better human than you are.
When you can top me out on Bench, Deadlift, Squat, Shoulder Press and Leg Exension.
That doesn't prove anything.
Proves you know more.
Right now my knowledge of this shit is superior to yours by far.
You can't even comprehend the shit I say.
Fall back lil' boy.
