Sources of protein other than meat..

    you can't just eat "soy". well you can...they have soy nut snacks. but there are a number of dense soy products that you could use as meat substitutes in dishes...

    tofu, tempeh, textured vegetable protein (good as a ground beef substitte in about anything)

    try seitan too. it's wheat gluten and like tofu will take on the taste of whatever you're cooking it in.
