Expenses? Haha, he puts the pen to the pad. He prolly has his own studio, he calls it the "hypercube microphone booth in a vacuum of space." Producers prolly just get a cut of sales profits.

Units sold number came from Billboard reports.

Canibus been around since the 90s. Canibus been rapping longer than a lot of you been alive. GTFOH with he shouldnt be headlining this event. Canibus' relevancy > Ars' relevancy, in hip hop. Ars might be more relevant in battle rap, but when it comes to making real music, Bis takes the cake. Thats a fact.

And just so you know, Im not that excited to see Bis battle, period, but especially Dizaster. Im not the biggest fan of Dizaster, and I dont see why people think hes one of the top battlers. Just my opinion.

Apparently he's important enough for you to make a thread about him. Hating on people that have more than you must take a lot of energy. I bet you're tired every night when you get up from your keyboard after a vigorous session of trolling a battle rap forum.

It depends on the artist dude and their situation. Some artist on indie labels get a bigger cut. It depends on the artist. Immortal Tech & Tek 9 get a bigger cut off their shit than Fabolous would. Mac Lethal chime in please and educate...

I'm actually well versed in this as I said in my previous post

Independent labeled artists get a bigger cut off of sales, but lack the ability to monetinize as well in other departments, equals out to being less overall financially

And when I say that some artists are broke at certain times, I'm not talking about pushovers, I'm talking about big names in the industry which I can't disclose for obvious reasons

So no I don't need to be educated...money management and having a great accountant are all that really matters

The industry is changing so drastically at this point...record sales are minute compared to other money making ventures

no way bis's net worth 8 million but what an unrealistic thing to ask for. since when is it standard shit for performers to have every last profit minus every last expense for a given fiscal year on the internet for public viewing

I mean, Willy makes good points here tbh. I remember when Canibus was the least important rapper on 4,3,2,1 and he was much more important then than he is now. I'm not gonna say that Canibus isn't important in his ways and shit, but Dizaster would be just as well off battling someone like Busy Bee Starski or Supernatural or something.

If Dizaster came on here bragging about how he was going to do a song with Canibus, would everybody here have jumped to the "Dizaster has it made" conclusion? Of course they wouldn't. Let's say for the sake of the argument Canibus' stock hasn't dropped even slightly since he first dissed LL Cool J. What makes people think that the majority of his fanbase are interested in seeing him do an accapella rap battle against someone they've never even heard of? Hell, even some of his loyal fans who buy his music may just say, "Good for him, he's keeping it real hip-hop, I don't have an hour to watch this battle with some random guy."

Canibus dissed and got dissed back by Eminem for Christ's sake, and hardly anyone noticed. I honestly don't even think the kind of people who respect and enjoy listening to Canibus really care who he "battles", they like hearing his bars that make them feel like they are smarter than everyone else.

Will it get views? I'm sure it will. Probably a few hundred thousand. Will it get more views than Arsonal's next battle? Not likely.

Living Legends are some of the first underground shit i listened to ( along with , Slug , Kool Keith , 7L & Esoteric , MF Doom , Aesop Rock , Blueprint , Brother Ali , RA the rugged man , Reks , JMT , )
and none of those guys are really "relevant" right now SO FUCK RELEVANCE , i listen to who makes/made good music all the other shit is social hip hop politics

i still listen to those MCs cause good music is timeless , and i hear ALOT of garbage in underground hip hop now

hip hop (battling esp) is a popularity / trend contest , you cant even like a battler or artist with out being a "dickrider" these days , shits lame
