I'm no car audio expert, but I thought Solobarics were designed to be used as 1 sub, and not a pair or more.

I'm just wondering what your reasoning is behind this....if you have an idea, drop it...or if you had just heard it elsewhere or whatever

but that's not true at all...

I think that kicker subs are highly overrated...i'd NEVER consider the L5 or L7....never...never...never.....

    there are much better options

try to look beyond the "coolness" of having a square sub....

lemme know what you're lookin for and i'll help you out

I agree, the L7's are overrated (personal experience). I had a 12" L7 right when they came out, I had about 1200 watts from a V12 amp going to it, and I wasn't impressed at all. I had more bump and better sq from 2 JL audios with a 550watts going to it.

best subs out in my opinion...

id go with the 10's, they sound the the best.. 12 and 15 give off alil too much distotion in the bass. the 10's are nice and tight

i suggest you listen to other setups....i'm guessin you haven't been around the stereo community too long, not tryna diss you or anything, i was there once too

and what do you mean a 12 or 15 will have more distortion??? that makes no sense at all...

trifle . . . I'm looking for a 12 that, when I turn it up, I'll be able to tell the difference between a live drum kick and a computerized (not sampled, but computerized) drum kick. What would you suggest? (Also, I'm heading in the direction of best SOUNDING system for my next system - not the loudest, not the one that vibrates the neighborhood the most, but something that will really bring out those Kanye West samples, so if you've got suggestions on speakers as well, bring em on)

Hmmm...let's see. I did say in my post "1200 watts from a V12 amp" which is made by alpine....so let's work on those reading comprehension skills.

I'm not saying they're bad subs, but for the money I'd go with JL any day of the week over them. I'm actually talking from personal experience. Take it or leave it, JL is a better sub.
