    it's to my understanding he's a made-up fictional character but if you actually read and understand everything about this "thing" then the actual ideology of it is rather frightening and exist's one way or another. definitely an interesting read whether you believe it to be real or not.

    what do you mean the ideology of it is frightening?

    isnt the ideology of any monster supposed to be frightening?

    that might have been the wrong word to use but what i mean is i think this sort of "demonic character" or "creature of paranoia" exists in all of our minds so therefore he's real if we make it to be real.

    slender man doesnt seem like a monster i want to meet up with

    unlike some others

    Pretty sure Slenderman was the result of a 4chan forum thread, where people were commissioned to "creepypasta" regular pictures and come up with a backstory for what they put into the picture.
