how are you guys going to feel if it's just as soulless and empty as oblivion was once you get into the open world?

i think everyone is expecting just as much innovation that they brought from morrowind -> oblivion, and just from watching streams of the leaked 360 version, it doesn't look as staggering.

i'll still cop it, obviously, but it's something to think about regarding expectations.

    video of gameplay: http://www.gameanyone.com/video/358609

combat looks the same as oblivion with the addition random lame 'execute' moves that instant kill which are in like every single action-based game ever now.

also, doesn't the area at 20:00 in the part 2 video look exactly like every single building in every single oblivion portal in the last game?

i dunno. prepare to be underwhelmed, IMO. i'm not saying it won't be a great game, i mean, it'll be just as awesome as oblivion, but i think the hype put this one up too high on the pedestal. how much can you REALLY improve on oblivion in terms of innovation once you consider everything that was glitchy, buggy and unpolished dealt with?

    thoughts, gentlemen?

Good points! The thing that I look forward to honestly, is exactly what you pointed out. Another oblivion. Sure some areas are going to bare a striking resemblance to the previous elder scrolls series, however that's to be expected. I do know that a lot of the "bugs and glitches" that were prevalent in oblivion, they've addressed in this. Plus the random behaviors of dragons will be a very welcome addition. For instance if you're in the midst of a battle and your enemy gets picked up by a dragon. In my opinion, I think the greatest excitement about this game is just that, another elder scrolls game. That's all it has to be. ;)

I love oblivion so if it's "just as soulless" as oblivion i'm sure it'll shit on everything out there.

I get lost in the open world though, like i never finished my first playthrough of Oblivion and have 130 hours in it, started a new character last week got like 50 hrs in already lmao.

I think the games are just TOO big and i end up getting lost in it all and moving on after a while, but i'm a love every second of it i'm sure lol

I've got a few hours invested in oblivion, at lvl 30 with chameleon armor, however I've mastered every guild except fighters guild. Beat the shivering isles as well. I can't wait for this.

    Epic for sure
