Does that make Sting responsible for coming up with the gayest terminology in the wrestling world ever.... or am I alone in this sentiment?

I don't really have a problem with the ring being six-sided.

The wrestlers can attest that, yeah, when they first get there they need a little time to get used to the ring, but after a bit it's not much different. But they still have less room in there.

I just don't see what the point is in marketing it as something really innovative. I mean, if they do that for the X-Division, fine... whatever. But then you have all this "Six sides of steel," even though that's pretty cool concept to call it that, it's still just a cage match. I don't see why Sting goes out there and calls it the "Six-sided circle." It's a ring. Stop putting so much emphasis on it. It's a ring. When I first started watching with the six-sided ring it was different, but then after a bit it just settles into your mind. Then they keep reminding you that the ring has SIX SIDES. It does?

It bothers me because you could tell they were going for something different, but they went with something that nobody gives a shit about.

It'd be like if they made the turnbuckles out of gummy bears, and based the whole promotion around that.

    ^ LOL

yeah they wanna be known as innovators.

    the get a six-sided ring...

then they do an all cage match pay-per-view.... some of the matches don't even need to be in cages.... and by the time it comes to the main event, everybody forgets the cage is even there.... so they put a roof on it with weapons.
