    What a fuckin' performance!

I was talkin' to my boy about this fight and I actually predicted what I thought may happen in the fight. Machida's natural stance is very laid back so he doesn't get hit in the face. I told my boy that I'm worried that him "adjusting to the leg kicks" would only mean his face would be more exposed because he wants to kick his legs back to avoid the kicks instead of keep his head back. You can't check someone like Shogun's kicks because he trains for those and he could literally break your leg. So he did exactly what I thought he would and it opened his face up. KNOCK OUT!

    Shogun is for real! WOW!

Don't be stupid. You know what I mean. He fell off for a minute. During that Coleman fight, I thought he was done. Shit was TERRIBLE!

im just happy he won because it opens up a lot of fights..

machida back in the pool is bad for many LHW's on the come-up to being a contender cause now they dont have to just solve machida to win the belt, but they have to solve him to get to the belt. just because shogun did it i dont think it'll be any easier for anyone else in the division, shoguns style was perfect for throwing machida off his game. my question isn't even whos next for shogun we all kind of know that, but whos next for machida? since they had a rematch i feel like they wont wanna put him back into title contention to soon because.. it'd kind of be lame to have another rematch in the near future.

Machida looked uncomfortableto me. You could tell he feared getting his legs hacked up again and his legs were going red right away, I mean really, a Machida takedown?! My jaw actually dropped when that shit happened.

I bet on Machida, but I'm not pissed. Shogun seriously impressed. Plus, the money wasn't rightfully mine.

Machida gets a lot more takedowns than you're giving him credit for. He uses sweeps all the time and his takedowns were very similar concepts to some of the sweeps he uses.

It can get topped if GSP/Silva could happen.

The only guy who has better sweeps from the clench than Machida. That would be interesting to watch. It would end up on the ground. I highly doubt Jones would wanna keep it standing with Machida (even with the long reach advantage). But that would definitely be fun.

But Dana White told me at the UFC Q&A a few months ago that he wants to gradually build Jones and that he had to fight like 2-3 more fights before he gets the top dogs.

^Good. I don't want Jones rushed to title contention like King Mo was. Mo turned out well, but it could have gone badly.

I don't think I'd call Shogun the best LHW of all-time.

Shogun will lose his belt, probably defend once more then a loss.

Shogun's style is not conducive to longevity, which is why he's always fucking injured. This is probably the healthiest he's been in at least 5 years.

He'll get injured again, either in training or a fight, then he'll take a fight he everyone knows he shouldn't, and lose.

This is not the end of Machida, either. I guarantee you he wins the belt back within the next two years (but not necessarily from Shogun)...

and I'm certainly not calling shogun invincible. Shit, he could lose to Machida.
