    i never believed everyone when they said that strings effect was done with the pitch wheel....damn

    Nothing can touch the motif's strings, NOTHING. I copped a motif es a while ago, the sounds are eargasmic. Once I get my new soundclick page up and running, I'll post a bunch of beats that include the pitch shifting strings that scott storch uses alot.

    i think he was doin that in candy shop, for a tremelo effect. the same as what the modulation wheel would do

    for lean back it seemed he was doing sharp pitch bends very quickly...could anyone see what notes he was playin on lean back??

    i tried just moving it up and down while i played a melody...

    The pitch bend wheel/modulation wheel requires practice like everything else. Scott didn't wake up one day and decide to play the melody to Lean Back. Its a process of experimenting with what sounds better and whatnot.

    i use modulation alot for them west coast beats n others...

    but pitch wheel i havent been really successful...
