You been given a budget for a 12 track album...

Which producers do you enlist? Who's gonna do the 1st single? 2nd single?

    You CAN NOT enlist yourself.

you probably dont have enough money to get every top producer like the game....so I would go with

    scott.Steezy 1st single
    jd
    kanye or justblaze

    then the smaller producers
    bink
    Hi-Tek
    Havoc

    and i am not sure..

neputnes on the 2nd cd because they tend to give wack beats to new artist

I sure as hell wouldn't spend that doe on all those top name producers lol, yall crazy. That's taking money out of your own pocket, that is unless the money doesn't have to be re-couped from your earnings, then yea I'd enlist all those big names.

But all you need is 2 or 3 big name producers on your shit to get you going, and the rest of the album can be made by whoever. There's a lot of kats out there, unknown kats that can make fire, so I'd go out and search.

Maybe get a beat from Storch and Timbaland and then hook up some underground dudes, they'd have to bring HEAT though

dog your a fuckin idiot.....i didnt say TAKE timbo off...did you even read wtf i said?

"i would prolly take timbo off one beat and throw an extra just joint.....thats bout it"

id rather have 2 just blaze joints and 2 timbo joints.....then 3 timbo joints and 1 just blaze joint.....

thats just me mufucka......besides if we talkin budget.....3 timbo joints is fuckin LOOT.....i would rather spend less dough and get another rediculous producer who wont charge as much (granted it will still be alot)...like justblaze.....simple...

I aggree...people hate on diddy....but the man can produce his a$$ off..... like in 97 he spent like 30 somedays as the producer of the number 1 billboard....

but with all the top producers...you wont get no type of points off your album.....

lol hmmmm... never thought about all that

damn, if I actually did cop beats from all the producers I listed, i'd spend the rest of my fuckin life tryin to recoupe that shit

But fuck it, if my label gave me that kinda money, i'd go all out. Chances are, you'll sell mad records just off all their names... it worked for 50 and Game. Hardly any new artist's debut albums with no-name producer's go multi-platinum anyway

yea it did.... but....a lot of people cant make it with a neptunes or kanye single...so its still shaky....and he had 50 co-signing him.....he was on the first 2 singles.... and no matter if you like 50 or not.... he is the man right now..... I think he made the this is how we do single.... it was his hook...

and also...you dont want the album to sound so schizophrenic ...lil john single...then kanye..then who ever.... IT is good for singles...but not necessarly for the flow of the album

As you know...great albums flows from song to song.... I think they problem with a lot of albums is too many producers...

Everyone has there soul joint, cruck joint, womens joint, timbaland or scott steezy joint, i rep the steets joint...

    ^real talk

he's been the mastermind behind sooo many classics, muhfucka's never give him credit. Mary J Blige... Jodeci... Total... J.Lo. I mean damn, how can anyone hate on the man that executive produced Ready To Die & Life After Death? Fuck it, even Mases Harlem world. Diddy used to be a beast. He fell off though.
