    1. Introduction

Alright. This week’s mag will be short and to the point being that I’ve been busy as hell the past week. I didn’t have time to get an interview and there will be no debate this week so I apologize in advance for them not being there. Anyways, let’s just get straight to the point as this is what this mag’s about.

    2. Recap

    L. Kross and Pain duked it out with two top notch verses in the Championship Match this week with L taking the belt from Pain. Blitz advances to face Kross for the Championship after OC no-showed. Ace defeated nom 2-1 while TaC and MC Guttso had a tied battle, but with TaC signing out Guttso advances to the contendership match for a rematch of Week 5’s Championship match with Ace. Shadow got his first win against liquid acid’s comedy verse. Main Stream won due to a no-show from Xquisite. Link Gash defeated MADD ILL 6-1 in a battle of newly signed in members. Nitsuj and Master Peace both no-showed in their match. Nu’maaN closed out the week sweeping his battle vs WordZPerfecT and sub.zero.freez. Overall Week 8 was pretty dope. Let’s keep it up this week

    3. Battle of the Week

    L. Kross vs. .:pain:.

    Kross:

    Fit To Die

Let me introduce you to a couple of thieves, runnin the streets
My brother an me, do any an everything for a couple of Gs
..... An struggle to keep heat up where we sleep
Nothin to eat, call me a rat, but Ill beat you up for ya cheese
Trust an believe, we dont know fear other than He
But struggle wit greed so much that we'll plug you for green
...... Choppin up soap to go an hustle the fiends
In the hustle we trust, an thats all the muscle we need
In these streets all night, if I do tumble to sleep,
My hopes have been crushed, Im too humble to dream
Jungle is mean, lemme introduce you to the way that I pass it
So angry an mad, she the only dame thatll have it
Get her ass kicked, twisted an sprained on the matress
An still love me, just cry through the pain an the sadness
This is madness, shes more worried Ill be lain in a casket
    Wish she hated me
Itd make it easier for the way that she catch it
But ecstatic is always how she faces the savage
My hatred is snappin, in agony regular pain is relaxin
Imagine havin nothin when havin everything is ya passion
The strains just a fraction of the shame of my actions
.... Caged an Im trapped in, the shit is gettin worse
News I got next had me like Im sittin in a hearse
So stiff, it hit my nerves soon as her lips was gettin pursed
"Im three months pregnant," In six, she givin birth
Im in no position, its no work. Im still a kid, Im still a jerk
I walk the fence, dodgin bids, knockin niggas in the dirt
But Im suspended with the vision when I listened to her first
Feel imprisoned in the instance, try an get it inta words
.... It was a very long six months with no complications
Waters breakin, on the kitchen floor she started shakin
Baby fathas racin to the doc an patients,
Got her top sedations while they operatin
The room in a gasp just as soon as she snaps
Knew she was pullin her last, then her heart fully collapsed
Already gave her blood, so I knew Im a match
Go to the bathroom, then you hear a boom an a blast
.... Cause everytime a thug dies, a dove flies away
I found somethin that Ill die for wit a wide smilin face
For the two lives I saved its a small price to pay,
Im glad I knew you for a minute in my final day.

A man who has nothing to die for isnt fit to live.

    vs.

    .:pain:.

I've traveled many roads; many paths have felt my feet,
I've battled many foes, came back to tell my piece,
Ain't a man that knows hell like me,
I've died many times to escape the cell I weaved...

...Each circumstance was a strand in the quilt,
The standards and wills were underhandedly built,
Each would breed another fabric of life,
Whether disastrous strife, or new paths to the light,
Two bags and a pipe, the moon passes us by,
Or I'm sittin' with my writtens, spittin' passin' the time,
It was a silk and a wool kind of pattern of weave,
Didn't matter to me, if it helped trap in the heat,
But I became irritated from the latter of the two,
Little rashes formed a wound, more scratchin' oughta do,
As each comforter resembled less of its name,
I fell to my knees, began to tremble with pain,
Covered in my blankets, cold as pure steel,
I began to search for that old secure feel,
The life I had lived, and the strands of its mesh,
Had hampered my breath like a cancerous chest,
The strings of my quilt were woven with care,
Produced of the moments I was openly scared,
And nobody cared, I would sit with my pins,
Weaving protection from the shit that I live,
The life I lived made me wanna just hide,
Pull the blanket over me until I lost it or died,
But death made me put all caution aside,
And pull blanket the down to see what I fought with my eyes,
Past all the fabric and the woven strands,
I saw life like a child who didn't know we're damned...

...I built a prison out of linens woven over my eyes,
Thought confronting life was a hopeless design,
But those quilts were the cocoon to the steps I rehearse,
And continue in the cycle of death and rebirth...

...Just, to open my eyes, I had to die,
My life, was a woven disguise, and now my eyes
have sight, I'm hopeful of life,
Cuz I died, now my soul is alive, now my soul alive...

“Death is no more than passing from one room into another. But there's a difference for me, you know. Because in that other room I shall be able to see.” - Helen Keller

    Blitz:

After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music." - Aldous Huxley

When forsaken by silence, how do I express the inexpressible?
Thru music! Clearly any other theory is just too questionable.
I march to my hearts beats rhythm, which leads to streets of gold
As my brain bleeds a melody that feeds the fleets souls.
When I’ve lost complete control and I’ve broken down
I revert to every verb, note and noun to hear how hope sounds.
Yes, this is my musical outlet…so im plugged in frequently
When I need to let out shit,… or just feel a frequency
But the sequencing of these sentences comes expensively
Im in the trenches, trying to break free of the pain that clenches me
I never write pretentiously… when composing composition
But its these written renditions that puts me in different dimensions
This music helps release the tension.. that builds inside
Not to mention how it humbles myself and kills my pride
Its gives me the will to thrive, though I’ve been trouble for days
This music allows my to "express my self".. Like N.W.A
When Im sad… I grab the pen and pat and let it pour out
Jott down lyrics about why I had to take the poor route
Or If theres no one here to hear me talk some mad shit
Ill grab the tab-let.. and just unleash on these faggots
But I could grip the gat… and let the led disperse
But instead of a hearse, ids rather leave em dead in verse
For better or worse my head stays buried in a book of rhymes
I put my heart soul and mind in every hook and line
Lookin to shine? No, just get engaged with these pages
Look thru my life’s stages and see why I aged so courageous
From the anger that rages.. to blowin bomb-weed to calm me
or hitten latin mommies like tsunami in suites at the Omni
Rather if Im feelin like Faunzi, or if ya mans vexed...
cause i finally found a female, but the bitch couldnt stand sex
From my Alchohol abuse to my problems with Xanax
what ever it is, im'a cram text down yalls damn necks
cuase the only way these inexpressible expressions ever get expressed
If i write it down, spit it out and get it off my chest.

    Main Stream

    Terror-vision

The news is twisted and spun in televisual runs,
So nowadays I merely listen for fun.
So switch on, become, a prisoner in front of it's belligerant frontage.
The news is delivered with gumption, while largely unfit for consumption.
    Mind-control legitamatly it's function.
But, honestly, who is it that honors the terrorvisions senseless statements?
They'll start to invade full throttle,
They'll barter and trade our morals,
during the adverts in the name of the God that is Entertainment.
I find that corporate life's a dawdle, contrite, and awful.
With men and women at war on terrorvision for an ostentatiously shiny bauble.
It's lies a portal from the truths minor discrepancys,
While both sexes gladly enquire about the chance to acquire
that most prestigious of titles – "Celebrity".
After Andy Warhol warned us beyond the slightest doubt,
that everyone would receive their fifteen minutes of fame, that time is now...
...So nightly we resume the new praying posture adopted globally and,
We sit back in our comfortable chairs with our remotes in our hands,
As the one God, this... Entertainment as it's persistantly known,
Sits on it's throne with it's unblinking eye reaching into our homes.
And as we watch, it preaches, in keeping with it's strategy
to teach us all the new values on greed, terror, obediance and apathy.
Immediately after we accept it's glimpses into Futurama,
we allow this squared eye of God to show us the steps to reach our new Nirvana.

By buying a new car, we
    Obey.
By shopping at the temples of cheap commerce, we
    Conform.
By subscribing to more channels, we
    Submit.

Am I alone in saying I've had it with this vanity?
See these adverts are our 12 step plan to Paradise, and
..Reality TV's our fast-track to immortality.
Celebrity is almost sainthood under the God of Entertainment's merit role,
and anything less is unacceptable because terrorvision tells me so.
Entertainment bloats itself on the faith of the accepting masses who trust in its hold,
asking only an annual contribution for the priveledge of it being thrust in your home.
And this is what's troubling though... See to peruse the pictures,
You must sacrifice your intergrity, decency, and moral fibre for viewing figures.
It's a putrid system and most refuse to listen -
They're far too detached from the sentiment.
Now welcome to the Church of Entertainment.
    Your remotes are waiting,
    Your comfy seats are ready,
Come and pray while we sap your intelligence...

As the one God, this... Entertainment as it's persistantly known,
Sits on it's throne with it's unblinking eye reaching into our homes.
And as we watch, it preaches, in keeping with it's strategy
to teach us all the new values on greed, terror, obediance and apathy.

    6. Predictions

    L. Kross vs. Blitz- Blitz has some skills but he will have to out do himself in order to overcome Kross. I believe Kross takes this one.

Ace the Prophet vs. MC Guttso- Good luck, homie

Shadow vs. Main Stream- Main Stream should take this battle. Shadow is a good writer but I don’t think he’ll match up well with MS

Link Gash vs. Nu’maaN- This will be an interesting battle. Very close, but I’ll side with Nu on this.

Pain vs. Soull- Welcome back Soull, lol. It’ll be a good battle but it should go Pain’s way, IMO

Liquid vs. MADD ILL- liquid should take this battle

WordZPerfect vs. Restproof- Being that I don’t know who Restproof is and I know what WordZ can do, I’m going with WordZ.

KDP vs Deep Pocketz- I don’t think I’ve seen anything from DP before so I will side with KDP for now. Looking forward to this battle.

Young Troy vs. Apogee- I haven’t seen Apogee’s writing before and it’s been a while since I’ve read anything from Young Troy. I can’t make a prediction on this because I don’t know much about either. Here’s to a good showing from both.

for innovation, but its still something new that can be updated/improved.

yeah, that's my bad. a serious lack of time this past week made me barely have time to get my verse in, so i tried to make up for it by having a wide selection of topics. i'll be sure to have one and a debate for next week's mag though

For sure. Since you've been gone for a few I'm limiting the topics each week to categories, so like one week's just topics, one's quotes, one's pictures, etc. I think it's more challenging than being able to choose from all of them every week
