    ^ those arent RPGs

can never get into RPGs, which is weird cuz i love fantesy type stuff. i think it was the final fantesy games that turned me away.yes i know its a JRPGs. i think its beacuase its supposed to feel like youre part of this big world where you can interact but in ways i wouldnt. lately games have done better with the convo trees and given " the asshole option".

i was thinking of getting skyrim during black friday. dunno just yet

I feel everyone who loves Baldur's Gate has never played Icewind Dale.

Because if you did you would never play Baldur's Gate again.

Nothing against Baldur's Gate, it was cool seeing Drizzt, one of my favorite literary characters, in game form, but Icewind Dale is Baldur's Gate on steroids.

    Final Fantasy Tactics
    Icewind Dale 2 (w/expansions)
    Final Fantasy 8
Skyrim (imo the only thing better in Morrowind is that you can kill all the NPC's)
    Neverwinter Nights
Thief (CANNOT WAIT FOR THE REMAKE)

Lufia 2's ancient cave stole many many hours from me. As much as I love FF6 and Crono Trigger neither of them match up to the enjoyment I squeezed out of this optional side dungeon. The game more or less stole ideas from all over and the end result was a masterpiece, Lufia 1 had its charm but it wasn't that great and might have put people off from trying the second. The aforementioned 100 floor randomized dungeon which had special blue boxes with ultimate level items that you could take out and use in the MQ. It had 7 evolvable capsule monsters with 5 levels each. The weapons/armors had special effects linked to an IP bar that filled up when attacked. It had tools like arrows, bombs, chains, and tons of puzzles using them and switches and such. It had the obligatory casino with bingo, slots, blackjack, and poker. It also had a New Game+ (replay with 4x EXP+Gold) and a Gift Mode if you wanted to just do solely the Cave using characters that joined and left along the MQ. It had dragon eggs scattered around the world and wish granting dragon. Even now I get a itching for that Ancient Cave, in all honest I think Ive only made it past the boss at level 100 once. You enter everytime at level 1 with whatever blue chested items you have found before and 10 potions, you get an escape item around level 20 which is missable if you can't reach the chest. By the time you get to level 80 the monsters appearing don't show up in the main quest.

Im still a fan of RPGs but I'd rather have a quicker battle going down. The Tales games have a pretty good system but their games have been hit or miss. I really like the Star Ocean games too. Second Story is probably the best for me too. Im a big fan of side dungeons as you can guess and the coliseum as well as the pyramid trial one were really fun in this one. SO3&4 were alright, the AI for the most part were idiots, the crafting either broke the game or your wallet and Im not sure its gotten better or worse, and I didn't enjoy either of their coliseums or side dungeons. I'd love a next gen SO but I think the last one was literally the last hope they had.

I can't really play rpg's anymore. not full on rpg's anyway. I prefer a mixed bag.

    KOTOR
    Mass Effect series
    Dragon age: origins
    persona 3, 4
    jade empire(pretty much anything bioware)
    fallout 3
ff 7, 10, 12...don't think I ever finished any of them though.
Suikoden 3( i remember really liking this one)
    xenosaga
lost odyssey(last real rpg that i played...surprised i beat it.)

I started Fallout New Vegas, my first Fallout game, but like all Bethesda games I play, I reached an insurmountable glitch and gave the fuck up.
