Legend and an icon of science fiction, for me eternal because of the novel Fahrenheit 451, which also got an excellent film dramatization directed by François Truffaut, but otherwise very interesting because of films It Came From Outer Space, The Beast From 20.000 Fathoms, such as Moby Dick and The Illustrated Man.

Also known for his excellent scifi short story The Martian Chronicles, in short, unique and memorable in the field of horror and mystery. But a kind of ultimate blend of Edgar Allan Poe, HG Wells, Jules Verne and Edgar Rice Burroughs, which everybody loved and greatly appreciated.
