puckett was a wife beater and a cheating spouse.

i respect the player, but not the man.

regardless, he will be remembered for two things: hitting the game winning home run in game 6 of the 1991 world series and for dying as a 5 foot 8 inch 400 pound man. yes, 400 pounds.

    r.i.p. kirby

    by the way...

fuck denny martinez for hitting him in the eye

    that dudes a scumbag

word i read some very damaging things about his character in a sports illustrated article a couple years ago
damn though his wife sayin that over some women at a restarant
i would give his wife a lot more credibility over what she said about him,IMO
    but you never really know
they said some pretty harsh things about him though
and lots of people can have two VERY different sides to them....
but its sad to see that happen to him
i still remember the plexi glass catch in the '91 world series
wow i still remember watchin that play the minute that happened....
    R.I.P.
and i hope the bad rumors about him werent true...

I be strokin' to the east
I be strokin' to the west
I be strokin' to the girl that I love best
    I be strokin'

Oh yeah that sucks about him dying. 45 is too young for people to be dying but he really should've taken better care of himself during his career and definitely after it.

Denny was one of Puckett close friends! It was an accident for sure.

I sang "dust in the wind" at like 3 different kareoke nights at the bars last week and dedicated each one to the man... *sobs*
