    In the early 1900's Jazz pianists used to have what was called "cutting contests" where they would "battle" on two pianos in a room. They would try to out-do their competitor with original improvisation. Sound familiar?

    yeah in nyc its popping, went to the ill dancehall club in Queens with some Jamaican homies a few weeks back, definitely mad live.

    yay I dance (class) at least 3 times weekly, I also help mentor the under 12's
    some of these kids are grimey with it lol

    when I first got this forum up & running people thought I'd called it the 'the reggae BASEMENT' & spelt it wrong'
