I haven't recorded in a long time. I remember using Cool Edit/Adobe Audition when I did. What's the most up to date or popular recording software available now? I realized it's based on preference but I'd like to learn a software that is used in many professional locations. Thanks

LOL cool edit pro, man i miss that one. I used to use it many years ago and its a great free recording tool but if you are looking for a serious recording software I would say go with Pro Tools. This is my personal favorite however Cubase, Logic, and Reason are also great depending on how much live audio vs samples you are dealing with.
