Recipe For CANNABUTTER

    Ingredients:


    1 lb. Butter (unsalted or salted)

    Water

    Marijuana - ¼ oz. to ½ lb. (Matters How Potent The Weed, Is Just Gotta Try DIfferent Things And See what Is The Best Amount)

    Large (8-12 quart) mixing bowl

    1. Place the butter and Marijuana in the cooking pot. Add water until it completely covers the butter and Marijuana mixture in the pot. If in doubt, be generous.

    2. Cover pot and bring to a boil. Stir mixture occasionally(Dont Let It Burn).

    3. As soon as a boil is reached, reduce heat and simmer 4 to 8 hours (covered). Make sure all the Marijuana is submerged in the water. Keeping it covered while it simmers will reduce evaporation and reduce the need to replace water as the mixture simmers.

    4. While the mixture is still boiling hot Strain The Mixture Into The Bowl (Make Sure All The Juice Is Out, But Everything Else Is Strained Out, Dont Want Anything Left Except The Juice)

    5. When all the Marijuana has been Strained you should have a mixing bowl nearly full of greenish butter water and a pile of leaf that has been thoroughly Strained so it no longer has any detectable butter clinging to it. Throw the leafy mass away. It not longer is psychoactive. All the THC has bonded to the butter which is floating in the water.

    6. Transfer the mixing bowl with the butter water mixture into the refrigerator (do not freeze) and let it stay undisturbed overnight or for 8-10 hours.

    7. Remove the mixing bowl from the refrigerator. All the cannabutter will be congealed into a layer floating on top of the water. Remove this butter and discard the water. Don’t waste your time making tea with the water in hopes you’ll find a bit of psychoactive joy therein. It’s been tried and it doesn’t work. The butter has it all!

    8. You can now freeze the butter to keep it indefinitely or use if immediately in any appropriate recipe

    Note: You will find very little if any "marijuana" taste to the this butter after it’s been cooked into a recipe. This means that cookies or brownies will taste absolutely normal – not "special". Be careful about leaving a plate of them casually out in the open where unsuspecting guests, children, dogs, etc. could unknowingly dose themselves out of their minds.

    Tip: Also keep in mind that if you use the cannabutter in recipes which include eggs, then you will have to treat the product (e.g. brownies) carefully to prevent them from "going bad" due to spoilage at room temperature. Store such things in the freezer to give them a long life, and only bring out the one’s you’re going to enjoy in a day or two. In fact, it’s wise to store all psychoactive items in the freezer until use whether they contain eggs or not. Experience has shown the 3 year old ginger cookies which were frozen entire time lose none of their potency.
