so i was walking along downtown philly and i seen somethin in the gutter. i walk over to it and it's hard to tell but its a shure sm58. it's all scratched up and shit, there is some wires coming out the side and the windscreen ball is missing. i snatched the mic up and took it home. then i plugged it into my computer with a spare mic cord i had. THE QUALITY WAS FUCKIN AMAZING. the wires sticking out the side probably grounded the mic so that it was able to pick up extra frequencies superbly. i think i read about that in physics class a while back. i mean, i knew that fitty'z were DURABLE AZ FUKK but i mean...this looked like it belonged in the garbage and the quality was still siccer than anything i'd ever heard before, including the rode 1000 that i have in my attic.
