Many more than I expected. Many are what I'd consider Old School. Weird because which when I was hard into hiphop, I didn't care much for Old School like CL SMooth or Special Ed.

    Scott Lark da Sensei
    MF Doom
    Aesop Rock
    Vast Aire
    Abstract Rude
    DL Incognito
    Sage Francis
    Slug (Atmosphere)
    Lords of the Underground
    Def Squad
    Hieroglyphics (& its constituents)
    Jurassic 5
    Naughty by Nature
    Pete Rock & CL SMooth
    Rappin 4 tay
    Redman
    Skee-Lo
    Special Ed
    A Tribe Called Quest
    Will Smith

With the exception of a few, most rappers are sell outs. They plague the community all year long but give out turkeys and hams for the holidays.

Dope as fuck, my friend. What's your favorite 4-Tay album?

I haven't heard of the majority of others you mentioned but it does seem like you aren't very familiar nor interested in and of a wide selection of other dope underground rappers.

I'm not interested in rap at all, so it was surprising that I found so many in my itunes that I still liked.

Can't comment on favourite 4-tay album because I never took note of albums, only kept the songs I liked. I don't remember off the top, but I can post some titles when I'm home if you want.

Yeah, I forgot about slug. I was ready to write him off, but he's good. Even my two-star rated songs were good.

I'm just not as lyric-oriented as I once was.

I listen to instrumental hip-hop and that old boom bap shit

Also, I like what Kendrick Lamaar is doing. He has a real refined style, just so well put together. My brother may be right in saying he made the best hiphop album ever. It was a proper album, a fluid constituency of relevant songs. As opposed to "Here, I put 16 songs on a cd." Mr. Lif is the only other rapper I know who did this with 'I Phantom'. I think Pink Floyd is another group who did this with all their albums, but I may be wrong.

That's awesome, he seemed alright, not overly thuggish. Pretty good one to grow up to.

Songs I liked were, Never, West Coast Bad Boys, One Night, I'll Be Around, A Message for ya Mind, Player's Club.

Yeah, so many times I love the beat, then cringe as the rap starts. Jay-Z's 'Lost Ones' for example. The singer alone would have done well. If you're focused on lyrics, I guess you can forgive a formulaic, nonchanging beat.

No kidding. I feel like people that hate on his music are just being pricks. Men in Black, Just Cruisin', Miami, Wild Wild West, Summertime, all real chill.

"rappers to which i can still listen"

let's rephrase that and see if it sounds right.

rappers which i can still listen to.

    not correct.

rappers whom i can still listen to.

if youre gonna go old english to sound like yoda, at least do it right. that "which" is like nails on a chalkboard to me.
