I sign in after a 1 week vacation in Portugal, and get Pain?

i still don't understand how the rankings work.

i don't see how mad ill can be ranked higher than wordzperfect, no offence to mad.

why can't it be a simple ladder, where the user with the highest amount of wins is on top, etc.

if a dude no shows, he gets points taken away and a bonus point gets awarded to the opposing member.

who votes for the ladder? ...

Only flaw I see is that if you get someone who has a constantly decent
record (5-1/6-2 etc) and someone with equal skill signs in, although they
have the same skill level they will never be close because they will be
taking wins/losses at a constant rate.

Whereas the constant system allows newcomers to climb to the top
quickly if he knows what hes doing, and the champs can still fall low.
In other words, its a lot more dynamic.

But I sense that you really want to compare wins/losses and statistics, and
hopefully at the end of the year an archive can be put together like the one
that is stickied. If one doesnt get put together, ill probably submit one.

i'm not changing the ranking system

it's based on RANKING not STANDINGS

that's why the guy with the best record isn't always on top

imagine someone being 8-0 and losing to a guy that's 5-3
by your logic the 8-0 will still be the above the 5-3 even after losing

this makes a bit more sense

in terms of bein able to keep track of whos on top an whatnot

except we'd be seein the same ppl every other round on that system. lol id just be up against shadow again an im sure we both want at least a couple weeks before we do our round 3.

As Nasty said, the rankings and standings are 2 different things.
The standings are something you will find in the archives, but you would
pretty much be stuck in the samespot all the time.

take a look at Vern, 120 wins or so, theres probably a few people
who could give him a run for his money, but they have to get 120
wins just to get a chance to battle him?

So when does the RSTL officially get wraped up and someone is crowned the champ of the season.. or does it even come to that point?

yea...i like battling Liq and all but if i see him next week i'll prolly cry lol
