Yup, okay i have a sample i want to put into a beat
I fuckin around with some pitch settings and made it a lil higher, but i want to fade the background beat a little bit...im not askin to cancel the background beat, im not retarted but i jus want to make the vocals stand out a little more, most likely rasin treble would help that right? SO HOW?

boost the mid-range...or take out the low-end

ud be surprised...but... ::sighs:: ill give away one of my secrets

if u pitch them high enough...and normalize them...and take out all the low end...when u mix them over the drums...you wont be able to hear most of the background music...especially if u lower them...which ull probly need to, so that the drums are loud enough. ull learn later on though...u want the background music sumtimes...otherwise itll sound gappish where ur vocal samples are
