Does smoking weed before lifting weights have a negative effect on the workout?

^I'm 6'1 145 lbs with not an ounce of body fat on me, AKA fuck a cardio, I'm tryin' to gain wait. And I doubt I'll quit, but I'll remember that n see what happens in a few months...

Yes smoking weed has a negative effect, it lowers your testosterone levels so you're going to be limiting your size and strength gains if you rock the ganj.
yeh i dont need that shit discouraging me, i cant smoke immediately before or after...
i need a clean mind and body when i go to the gym

either way, I'm gonna get gains... so maybe I'm not the one to ask.. I got two generations of marines in my blood aka good genetics.
I should note that I used to smoke before a workout back when I smoked green, shit would get me goin and like snikka said, feel no pain. I was even smoking dirt schwag haha, but I wouldn't smoke before a workout to the point of feeling like a lead weight.
Its about warming up. If you just straight start hittin weights it takes your body a while to get revved up. If you did say 10 minutes of cardio before your workout you will do better. Trust me. Im 6' 170lbs, i have 6% body fat--I dont need to lose weight or anymore fat, infact i could prolly use some, but i still do 10 mins before and after i workout. The trainer at my gym said you should atleast do something before to get your heart beating and juices flowing..
and dude, if i didnt have muscle id be a fairly skinny dude....you being 6'1" and 145lbs, man youre a freakin toothpick, start chowing down some weight gainer, cuz any family doctor would tell you that your way underweight for you size.

it's probably not the smartest thing to do before working out... especially not cardio, I tell you that much.

lol Ya'll would be surprised at how much I eat, literally. I out eat everyone no matter where we go, especially chinese buffets. I just been a life long soccer/lacrosse player, so I been doin cardio every day of the year until about a year or two ago...

i guess it depends. sometimes i get really energetic when i'm high, but other times i get lazy as hell. if you get lazy, then obviously you won't have a good workout.. but if you get energetic, it could be good.
i'm 6'1 and 227 pounds. i think i was 145 when i was like 15 or something.
depends what you're eating though. if it aint high in protein you aint gonna have great muscle development.
and wtf at smoking before working out? i become so unmotivated when high. i just couldn't imagine it
