    I'm looking to make some beats for myself to go over. Not looking to be real into it, just simple beats with some piano's, horns, drum lines, etc.

    fruity loops the only program or is there something you guys recommend?

    let me know.

    Thanks in Advance.

    PC I would look at FL10, Reason 6 and or Cubase with some VSTi. At the end of the day if you want some beats just buy some otherwise your wasting your time. Just work on your craft and let someone else work on the beats unless you can make beats.

    Stick with what works for you.

    Fruity Loops is definitely the best starter point for you. Reason would be next. FL will be easier for you to grasp at first and get a feel for. The major plus is the VST's
