i'm not saying that i havn't recommended gear, i'm saying that i like to stay away from it

people think that going from a $100 condensor to a $300 condensor will have a notable difference, with the same pre, room and recording setup otherwise. it's just not going to happen.

and yeah, i say 'don't get this' a lot, because there are some products that just aren't good, but i hardly ever (like maybe once a month) tell someone to straight out buy something

Sorry guys, I was pissed at something else when I read the post and just overreacted, thats all, no need to start nothing, I appologize for my comments too.

Everybody just get along, OK? lol

Sorry @ arcane, no harm intended.

And yea, I realize my setup isn't top notch, but mostly it can get me close enough to what I want, I'm not trying to have a "pro" studio, just something for me to work with at home. After all, If I ever get to the point where my material is worthy, I will go to a "real" studio anyways.

So sorry again, for starting any bullshit.

yet u said u didnt say it lol. i agree they wont see a difference without spendin some major doe. my only real issue with u saying things like that tho is that u often time knock gear that for this crowd would be decent if not great. But its alla bout Point of view and what u personally like in sound. Id say its safe to say u like a transparent sound in ur recordings i like body to mine so most of the gear u say is shitty ima say is fine and vice versa kuz i dont like transparent audio

    yep :):

yeah, maybe behringer gear would be great for some people on this forum, but they ask me what i think of it, so they're going to get my opinion, which is basically that it's not worth the money, and i'd never use it

i have nothing against any gear really, and 'better' is a really relative term in audio, because it's 50% preferance and 50% what the client wants. i've done mixes that i think sound absolutly horrible because that's what the clients are paying me for. yeah, i havn't put my name to them, and i sure as well havn't put them on my demo reel for trying to get future business, but i satisfied the clients and got paid.

Everyone is overlooking the fact that the songs themselves aren't that hot.

I think Arcane said what I would have.
It's maybe demo quality, but radio/commercial release?
    No.
