Probably one of the best examples of how my generation has its priorities f-cked up...

I've seen no less than 5 scholarly articles posted on my newsfeed about the Miley Cyrus performance and its social ramifications. Everything from sexual freedom for women to racial interpretations (didn't bother reading any of them, I just couldn't bring myself to waste space in my mind on such nonsense).

This. This is why we need an apocalypse.

well i guess i lied, because i do see them atleast. Which im sure its just a slice of the pie, but i see it more as the younger generation. I feel like a lot of people my age come into the realization that there is something fucked up and they put in efforts to seperate themselves from it.... but thats just my experience and im not saying its the majority or anything or even popular opinion amongst my generation. But man, i see so many people my age looking into real ways to garner their happiness. Such as meditation, compassion, and a disdain for the media bullshit we call advertising and entertainment.

i mean when i was younger, i liked Timbaland and magoo and wanted to be rich and live in a mansion with babes and porches and helicopters. I thought i had to wear cool clothes etc etc.

but at some point i realized that shit was all bullshit. I see that a lot amongst people i grew up around.

but i grew up around a lot of hippies and artists of all kinds.

I'm sure it doesn't need pointing out, but…yeah, I wouldn't have known about any of this, if not for this thread.

Next time, think: "no, this rubbish stops at me."

The argument is that Miley thinks black women are objects.

Because it's stupid to think there are many thoughts beyond, "OMG I SHOULD TOTALLY DO THIS!" going through the mind of one Miley Cyrus.

    Run, Demi.

Run as far and as fast as you can.

    A tidal wave is coming.
