^ yeah, im willing to say that you probably know best about the long run....

im just trying to not break the kids budget...because he was originally speaking on having $200 to spend on a mic....but stew, if you can afford to go that route, then by all means, i would trust AON's reccommendation....

but AON just out of curiousity.....

what would you recommend to someone who has maybe $400-$500 total budget. Only has a computer to work with....and has a midrange voice?

Im guessing he's goin say, M-Audio DMP3, Emu 0404 and an AT3035 or possibly a Shure KSM27 if you can find the it or any of the other items for less than retail.

Wargasms, I had no idea you lived in Columbia...2 years ago I lived in Camden.

    $500 total...wow.
    I'd have to say....

    E-Mu 0404 $99
    M-Audio DMP3 $150
    ADK A-51 $150
    ATH-M40FS $69.95

Now granted you cannot afford monitors with a budget like that, but until you CAN, those headphones will give you a better chance than regular speakers.

I seen them go for $175 on ebay...but then again, Ive been watching some mics for for MUCH less than they should

    -cough-
    AT 3060
    ADK Hamburg/vienna
    AT 4050

I've seen these mics sell on EBay for about HALF what they should.

What I want to know. Is will that M-AUDIO DMP3 and E-MU 0404 work well with the Shure KSM 32? Because that's what I'm thinking about getting. I don't want to get the 1820M and not use all the I/O and ish you know. And get myself some good monitors.

    So that's...

    M-AUDIO DMP3
    Shure KSM 32
    E-MU 0404
    B2031A Monitors

Is that good right there...I need to know this because I want to buy ish but right now I'm just saving money.

The presonus blue tube mic pre is the BEST you will get for $99. Guitar Center carries it. The best you can do without at least 300.

Yeah but I need a good preamp to go with my nice ass mic. I don't want a half-ass preamp you know. People say that Blue Tube is good but I don't know.
