... in trying times.
here's one of my favourites from the qur'an.
Therefore I tell you do not worry about your life what you will eat or drink;or about your body or what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air they do not sow or reap or store and save, because they know the heavenly father feeds them. Are you not much more valubable than them? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? And why worry about clothes? Look at the lillys in the field they do not labor or spin yet i tell you not even solomon with all his riches and splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God would clothe the grass in the field which is here today gone tommorow how much more should you be able to trust that he will clothe you.
nice, i like it.
moral of the passage? roam naked? i kid ...
thats in the bible too.
Sorry that was matthew 6:25 therefore if your enemy is hungry, feed him if he is thirsty give him something to drink in doing this you will heap burning coals on his head. Do not be overcome with evil but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:20
jesus told them this parable: suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one does he not leave the other 99 in the open country and search for the one until he finds it? And when he does he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and returns home with the entire flock. He calls his friends and neighbors together and says "rejoice with me; i have found my lost sheep." i tell you that in the same way will be the rejoicing in hevean over one lost sinner who repents than over 99 righteous that had no need to repent. Luke 15
Righteousness Through Faith in Christ
3:1 Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you is no trouble to me and is safe for you.
2 Look out for the dogs, look out for the evildoers, look out for those who mutilate the flesh. 3 For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh— 4 though I myself have reason for confidence in the flesh also. If anyone else thinks he has reason for confidence in the flesh, I have more: 5 circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the law, a Pharisee; 6 as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to righteousness under the law, blameless. 7 But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8 Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith— 10 that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.
Straining Toward the Goal
12 Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. 13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. 16 Only let us hold true to what we have attained.
17 Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us. 18 For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. 19 Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things. 20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
3:1 Or brothers and sisters; also verses 13, 17
3:3 Some manuscripts God in spirit
 3:6 Greek in the law
this is what gave me final total acceptance over to christ!
wouldn't surprise me, considering the source is the same lord.
except of-course, the altered versions of the bible ...
A psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the "valley of death",
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.-Isaiah40:31

"As buds give rise by growth to fresh buds, and these, if vigorous, branch out and overtop on all sides many a feebler branch, so by generation I believe it has been with the great Tree of Life, which fills with its dead and broken branches the crust of the earth, and covers the surface with its ever-branching and beautiful ramifications."
