I know people here don't JUST listen to hip-hop and watch grind time battles all day every day... right?

Figured this is a good as place as any for artist/album recommendations. I'm doing a lot of driving around the bay area for my new job, so that means lots of time to listen to new music.

Here are a few amazing albums I'd recommend to anyone:

    Black Keys - Thickfreakness (Blues-Rock)
Steel Pulse - Earth Crisis (Roots Reggae)
The Devil Makes Three - The Devil Makes Three (Acoustic/Bluegrass)
Emancipator - Soon It Will Be Cold Enough (Portland Trip-Hop)

    Now recommend me/everyone some stuff.

I been listening to this album for the past week and a half. Its TripHop also. Produced entirely by Stoupe of Jedi Mind Tricks.

    Definitely worth buying the record.

New Deftones album came out recently, it's nice as hell to me.

    Random artists:
Return to Forver (if you like jazz/fusion)
LTJ Bukem (DnB music that isn't all synthy and grating)
Cal Tjader (if you like music at all, one of the best vibraphone players)

    Cazuza if you're smoov.

oh god this thread was tailor made for me..

you gotta give me a genre to work within here... i keep about 2,000 albums in steady rotation so this could get tedious.
