A Tribe Called Quest - I'm honestly more of a punk/post-hardcore music fan than a hip hop fan, but they're one the few artists in my regular rotation. Awesome shit to chill to.

Talib Kweli - Amazing rhyme schemes, amazing words in general. If I'm listening to a song I've heard 10 times before, sometimes I still get the "ohh damn!" feeling like I'm listening for the first time

Kanye West - Same deal as Tribe... Listen to Kanye as much as anything else.

Lil' Wayne - awesome shit to bump in a car. rarely listen at home, but a top choice for car rides

best hip hop album i've ever heard. wild cadence, sickest flow, crazy rhyme schemes, crazy punchlines/play on words/puns/all that good shit, all intertwined with some real down to earth content amidst all of it.

Elzhi - Most talented rapper, in my opinion. I wish he didn't have so many garbage songs, but his technical skill is amazing to me.

Aceyalone (and a lot of Project Blowed, but Acey is tops to me)

    Gift of Gab (Blackalicious)

    Posdnuos (De La Soul)

MF Doom (and all of his alter egos but not so much Danger Doom/Geedorah)

Edan - creative ass dude. He's legit. He can rap. He can make beats. He can scratch. Somewhere on youtube there's a vid of him beat juggling on turntables while holding a mic and rapping. ridiculous.

    Common (earlier mostly)

Count Bass D - another creative ass musician

Shad - I just reminded myself that I need to get his new album

    Del the funkee homosapien

Invincible - Best female MC, period. And she's better than almost every man on earth. She's too hit and miss for me though

    Jay Electronica

One Be Lo - but some of his subject matter I can't get down to. Too allah/anti-white people at times but I can't deny his skill so fuck it.

    Black Thought

    Aesop Rock

    GZA

    - Kinda ordered, but not really.
