....and before the show even starts, the website crashes.
Great job, ROH!
Half hour after the show was supposed to start. Site seems to have completely crashed.
This is so fucking bush league, even by bush league indy wrestling standards.
R-O-H! R-O-H! R-O-H!
im a member of there website, and they promoted ppvs at half price and i still gotta pay full price.
how do they stay financially afloat
advertising + cheap programming + syndication
+ their website subscription and IPPV's which are successful thanks to the above.
well, if their ippvs keep fucking up i doubt the ippv business will be too successful in the future.
they probably do decent dvd sales too. basically their formula for success is syndication + milking the small group of devoted fans for every penny they can by selling the same shows to them twice and getting them to pay money to see a show they can see for free a couple of days later.
they charged me 7.99/mo for there monthly subscription so i can watch the tv shows..
I pronounce ROH like William Regal would.
don't let morons have ftp access while your live.
You made the right choice supporting ROH.
shit happens sometimes.
the dvd's are a consistently reliable stream of income.
do you get a refund or what?
Yeah. Basically anyone who ordered the show got a choice between getting a refund or getting to keep the replay of the show plus get the next IPPV for free. I was gonna just roll with the replay/next show, except all day yesterday the replay was down too. If I can't watch the replay, the fuck's the point? And why should I believe they'll have anything figured out by the next show?
I'm not sure I made the right choice. ROH is a shell of its former self.
And shit seems to happen a hell of a lot more with ROH. Three straight PPVs with serious problems. Fucking amateurs.
damn.. the last ROH show I watched was final battle.. I didn't know things were that bad..
I completely agree with your points.. you gave them multiple opportunities and they didn't deliver the service you requested.
wonder if they will refund the subscription I can't watch the latest show due to a server error.
--Jim Cornette was not at the Border Wars show in Toronto as he refuses to go to Canada. So he was at home, trying, unsuccessfully, to watch the show. I'd have hated to be at his house that evening.
pretty hilarious, actually.
