this comin from the guy who raps on helium im not insulted
Blah, the sample is horrid, how does this sound?
it's at the top "Sample1"
not bad, a lil too fast for my taste, but if u get on aim ill send u the cut up sample i used and if u could slow it and add bass it be dope
it depends cause it is custom and im a very generous person i cant just give a figure off the head
okay, well, will anyone try this maybe this is a lil easier.
same band diffrent song.
that's cool (at lease I tried!), I don't really want to slow it down, the bpm is only 90, I didn't want the beat to lose energy.
Word, But Hey I Appreciate It
I see what you're trying to do ENEF. Which is cool, I commend it actually. But think about it, because someone can't mold shit into something dope enough for a hip hop track (good producers mind you), knowing you can't make beats at all...what does that say? And the only thing is, as duke mentioned. Clapton and Led Zep have been sampled to death. I have like 3 Clapton records and two Led.
Even if a beat maker wasn't able to create from that sample, doesn't make them a clone nor too closed minded to be innovative. It could be, but it also can be just as simple as hey, I can't flip that shit. As you saw, some liked the song from the song's standpoint, but not as a sample. A good song, doesn't really make a good sample. If that's the route you're going with it, probably the wrong way to go about it. But good luck...
Once again I'm curious to hear something hot out of something that's not a good sample lol.
Matter of fact, if those two artists are two you KNOW you want samples flipped from I can dig out my record stash and make a custom beat. Cuz I remember a few good elements in a few of those songs off those records I wanted to flip and just haven't gotten to yet. But if there's more of a sound you're looking for...I'd have to know that before I create. 1ne
Lol @ Cas and the big brother comment too.
i'll test it out.. give me a few.
that second one i already used the original for a beat on the Bricks album
thats a johnny cash cover
some quick shit.. blah
you mean johnny cash covered the NIN one, its originally a NIN song.
gimme a lil bit, ill try fuckin with all them. u mind if i fuck with the pitch?
nah, go for it
You just lost 2 hip hop / black points for knowing either.
to be continued ...
lol. I think Im the only black personal alive who appriciates Johnny Cash. Not sayin I love his music but I appriciate it to an extent
NIN is my favorite band. Maybe I'll actually try to flip that song... first sampled track I'll ever make and it's from NIN, haha.
i have the logo tatt'd on my calf
trent is a musical genius.
the shit he did with david bowie was orgasmic
