Oh the irony of the atheists in here still trying to prove a point. I particularly love the "gazillions of people have been killed in the name of religion" argument. Oh and the "LOL at Christians and how they can just do what they want and can be forgiven whenever they want" argument is getting a little yawn inducing. Please tell me more about the how the laws of science/physics can be ignored at a whim and be so easily ingested by Atheists. Tell me about how matter was created from no matter. Oh that's right, anti-matter. Well I'm tired now, time for me to go anti-stayawake.

I hope someday in the future, Atheists that think religion is stupid and Religious people that think atheists are stupid can grow up and either think of each other as equals, or not say the other is fucking stupid like assholes.

Not every Theist is an asshole, nor is every Athiest. You are generalizing. But when we see the likes of....Westboro, for example, we can't help but call them for what they are.

L.preist I know there are lot's of misunderstandings between the two camps but that don't mean atheists are the enemy.

Some are beyond convinced that any real (honest) study into all things of convention will only lead to the Father.

Not many atheist in number compared theists in the US imo...but their camp controls virtually all teachings institutions, and media distributions in the mainstream.

I know that Atheists are growing in numbers, but was also under the impression religion was still the greater influence.

    @reggie jax

Not quite. How much of those shows focus is about legitimate study and teachings of the bible ? How much of it is porno for "doomesdayers" (for lack of a better term) or for the casual audience and how much of it is to wet your apatite for things to come ? How much of those programs teach people about the Father and His word ? Virtually none.

    It's a moot point.

Compare those shows to the recent series on the History Channel "The History of MANKIND". This program is taken on with almost romantic sensibilities and it takes its subject matter (evolution being one) as serious as any religion and as with great respect. THis show is also a prime time venture. An highly budgeted affair that the "biblical dooms day shows" do not receive.

Matter of fact can you give me a specif show you are talking about ?

There is a striking difference if you study production.

i've seen them many times when skimming through the channels, as i don't watch them i can't remember the specific names. the other day there was one on the rapture, and i think there's another one called "the bible decoded."

the allegation that these shows aren't 'serious' enough is utterly irrelevant. they certainly aren't catering to atheists with this shit.

Rapture is not a biblical teaching. Never was. The bible decoded shows are more in the vein of The Davinci Code theme, which is more dramatic entertainment than faithfully teaching with wisdom out of the scriptures.

But anyhow this is pointless to debate opinion.

Im not defending anything or attacking, but isnt it all the same,God was always here, universe was created out of nothing.
Who created God? Nothing, nobody,he was always there.
Who created universe? Nothing, nobody,it was just created.

i dont understand why they(science and religion) cant work together

they both like to fight each other, i think the answer lies in understanding both and how they are connected
