i feel u homie im new to the whole lifting weights shyt too, but machines are wack man. they only good for the end of a workout type shit.

do free weights and/or focus on bench, squat, deadlifts, standing overhead press n stuff
those are great start up exercises.

Man, can any of ya'll do a muscle up?

I went to the gym today with knocking out a calistenic workout on my mind...I can do 15-16 pull-ups, but I can't explode up enough to put my sternum on the bar and complete the tricep part of the lift...

I looked like an idiot on my first two attempts...realized I couldn't pull it off and worked on pull-ups for 4 sets trying to be as explosive as I could..

shit drained my motivation :funny:, so I just finished my back workout with free weights..

    right thread this time :scared:

i can do a muscle up... it's about momentum and kipping tbh.

you'll get it if you can do 15 pull ups.. just takes getting use to..

    work on your dips too.

Yeah, I'm hitting this little hood park that has a pull-up bar at lunch tomorrow..I believe once I get the feeling of how to do one that I'll be able to pull it off...

If not, I'm going to be starting every workout out with pull-ups till I get this bitch down.

    @yayo

Tbh, from the pics I will make a change when I try it again..He keeps the rings closer to the blunt part of his palm..I always do pullups from gripping with my fingers and upper part of my hand...

When I bench I roll the bar closer to the lower part of my hand for leverage

The transition will probably be easier gripping the bar lower with the muscle ups as well.

That is EXACTLY the routine I squatted on my last day of squat before injuring myself outside the gym.

Didn't film that day, but this was the week before.

when i was eating my burgers with special sauce...

i was 155lbs curling 100lb with no sway.
only other guys in the gym doing em proper at that weight or higher were 200+ or gearheads.

damnit... i just accidentally had half of a REGULAR Dr. Pepper.... I'm so accustomed to the Diet that I don't taste the difference, and I just noticed I grabbed the wrong can.

this is the shit that grinds my personal gears

Cheating in curls should only be done at very high weights, tbh. I think I read somewhere that Arnold advocates doing that once in a great while.

@Noodles was in the pocket on them Squats. Good work!

Arnold cheated on A LOT of exercises. But remember arnold was a bodybuilder not a powerlifter! it's good for getting big to cheat as long as you KNOW HOW TO CHEAT... Some people cheat in ways that will injure you. You gotta know what you're doing. Cheating isnt an excuse to do it wrong.

Thanks! I do work! About to update todays workout in your log thread.
