This could be the best first round in years.. I think there will only be one sweep, and probably a couple game 7's.

    My predictions:

    Spurs-Kings - Spurs in 5
    Suns-Lakers - Suns in 6
    Nuggets-Clips - Clippers in 7
    Mavs-Grizzlies - Mavericks in 6

    Pistons-Bucks - Pistons in 4
    Heat-Bulls - Heat in ehhh... 6
    Nets-Pacers - Pacers in 7
    Cavs-Wizards - Cavaliers in 7

I wanted to say Pacers in six because winning a game 7 on the road is a tough task.. but oh well. I'm a pussy this time. Pacers in 7.

I know it's probably a little shocking to see me consider the Cavs first round series to go the distance.. but I'm a little worried about the Wiz. I wish one of our central division opponents had climbed up into that spot since we were 4-0 against the Bulls, 3-1 against the Pacers and 3-1 against the Bucks. Instead.. Washington.. who is 3-1 against us.

The regular season record isn't what bothers me though.. one win was on the losing streak in feb.. when the Cavs were playing by far their worst ball of the year.. and another win was just last week when everything was clinched already and we didn't even need the game (LeBron and most key players sat the 4th quarter). It's the matchup problems. Butler and Arenas are going to be hell for the Cavs... I think Washington is capable of winning the series (but if it goes 7 they don't stand a chance in hell playing a game 7 at the Q).

I couldn't imagine losing a game 7 in the Q. It's just a different battleground.. ask all the division leaders who have either lost or gotten blown the fuck out in that war arena.

Well nevermind.. the Wizards are a .500 team so they could probably win there by 50. [funny]

    spurs-kings - spurs in 6.
    suns-lakers - suns in 7
    nuggets-clips - nuggets in 7.
    mavs-grizzlies - mavs in 5.

    pistons-bucks - pistons in 4.
    heat-bulls - heats in 6.
    nets-pacers - nets in 7.

i think the pistons and the spurs will be in the finals, unfortunately...

i really want the heat to make it. too bad there are "injuries" that prove otherwise.

    Ho hum... :(

I think Dallas might have a shot in the second round.. but SA-DET is probably the way it's going to end up. I don't see the Pistons losing more than 4 games throughout the entire eastern conference no matter who they play.

Any true basketball fan could not say they didn't enjoy last years finals... I even took off work to watch that game 7 and I'm not a fan of either team AT ALL (I actually really dislike both teams although I have a lot more respect for San Antonio). Even though that was a great series there are definetly BETTER finals matchups that anyone could dream up.

Maybe the last 2 or 3 games but if I remember correctly the first few games were all blowouts early. The Robert Horry game was a classic and game 7 was good but everything else was blah about last year's finals.

True, I think they set the record for most lopsided victories in the first four games. They're very good teams though and to see it go 7 at all was enjoyable to me- rarely do we get to see the true win it all or go home game in the Finals.

Neither team has star power. Not only that but they play at a snails pace... so it turns most casual fans away (like yourself).

I like last years finals, except for the fact the Spurs won it, it went all the way to game 7. Pistons had it in the bag but couldn't close it.
