marquette barely survived idaho state at home, winning 59-56 in overtime. they shot 29% from the field, 5 of 23 from three, and 16 of 32 from the free throw line.

jonathan wallace is solid at the point....and Crawford and Sapp are solid replacements for the guys they lost at the other guard spot...plus the 3 freshman,Macklin,Summers and Rivers, along with Pat Ewing Junior form a more than formidable bench....

Cook on Ohio State is nice. That class is definitely more than just Oden, but I do think Georgetown will be in the final four this year. They are solid, so I understand where his confidence comes from.

for starters Oden's out til January, so until then the Buckeyes lack a serious paint presence as well as any real leadership or experience, and are probly not even the best team in the Big 10 since Wisconsin has a pretty solid squad. Carolina looks pretty good but are again gonna need the youngsters to contribute should Hansborough have an off night. Florida is deservingly the #1 and should make another deep tourney run with every starter returning from last year, and likely 5 first round picks in next year's draft. this early it's almost impossible to make final 4 picks but I like Florida and Carolina's chances, and then I'll take Winthrop as my sleeper, and Gonzaga cause thats my squad

    marquette 73, duke 62

it was a very good game. james took over at the end and duke didnt know how to respond other than feeding mcroberts the ball. i dont really get all the hype with mcroberts. barro did a good job on him but it was more of mcroberts not finishing. the steal mcneal had on paulus when he ripped the ball out of his hands was sick duke lacks a leader right now i think, but they will be better
