The Elmendorf Rule - The Washington Post
So he has no plan cause he likes to spend money. Thats not reason enough to make that claim. Every president spends money.
Most of that debt comes from the Health Care reform anyways. Definitely a step in the right direction, spending money on the people instead of just making war.
The Debt Ceiling is just an arbitrary number. I'm not even sure why its there anymore. Its not like there is anything, even a reduced credit rating, that's going to make the US pay down their debt.
Its the easy way to "balance" the budget. Its been raised about 75 times over the years. Whats a couple more trillion dollars.
Are all those presidents who wanted more money to spend on their initiatives plan-less?
In the 75 times the debt ceiling has been raised, when was it projected the US would be insolvent in 15 years? We're experiencing lack of leadership on both sides of the aisle right now.
It's not the man who broke the system, it's the system of men that is broken.
Translation: Central economic planning fails.
