Nike Air Max 1 2009 Preview

    Quoted from source:
"Upon a recent visit to Nike’s offices in eastern Canada, the following Air Max 1s were spotted. The venerable Air Max 1 is set for a return as it features a familiar OG color scheme alongside some material updates. A translucent ripstop-esque side panel can be seen as one of the main differences. Shot with a fisheye lens, the shoe’s proportions are a bit distorted and not totally accurate."

Lazy - Savage Denim Dunk High

    Quoted from source:
"Custom sneakers have been slowly, but not quietly, growing from a small niche of sneaker culture to a a true art form. Amongst the leaders of sneaker customizers is Akalazy, or lazy, who recently got to shine on a collaboration with fellow customizer SBTG. Lazy has been, for a long time, known among sneaker conossiuers as one of the best people to go to for dope and creative reinventions of popular sneakers like the Nike Dunk.

Lazy’s most recent independent project, which drops tomorrow, is dubbed the Lazy Savage Denim Dunk High. Even though this may be able to go without saying, it is important to take notice of the extra-fine attention to detail on the shoe from the stitching, to the application of the details on the different sections of the denim. The fabric of the shoe consists of a darker denim along most of the upper, except for the top of the toe-box and the panel around the ankle/heel that both feature a lighter denim.

Beyond the fresh use of denim on these Dunks, Lazy takes it a step further with a never-before-seen take on the Nike Swoosh; Removing the Swoosh completely and replacing it with a threaded image of a Swoosh sorrounded by a stitched zig-zag design. You will see that the stitching around the Swoosh on the right shoe is red, while the stitching in the same place on the left shoe is white. White stitching is pre-dominantly used around the upper to piece together the denim pieces with the addition of a tasteful use of red stitching on the very back of the mid-panel. What is also interesting is the use of rips on top of the toe-box, which may have a deeper meaning than ripped denim.

These, unlike most of Lazy’s sneakers which are 1 of 1s, will be available in a relatively less limited quantity of 12 pairs. No word on the exact price, but expect to pay upwards of $500 for these dope, hand-made kicks. The Lazy Savage Denim Dunk High will be available exclusively on Lazy’s website."

Nike Hypermax - Grey - Black - Sport Red - Sample

    Quoted from source:
"This summer, Nike will be releasing the Hypermax, an apparent sequel to the popular Hyperdunk basketball model. Like the Hyperdunk, the Hypermax will employ Nike’s new Flywire technology, but comes with some new tweaks, such as an ankle strap and a full length Air Max sole for the power ballers. This wildly colorful grey/black/sport red pair is a sample, but can be had on ebay right now if you are a size 9 and can’t wait until June.

    More photos below…"

Nike SB Dunk Low x Brooklyn Projects

    Quoted from source:
"Nike SB is a brand that is notorious for their numerous collaborations that have produced countless memorable designs. However, collaborations with actual Skate Shops and Boutiques have been few and far between. Ending 2008 with tee shirt collabs by street wear champions such as Rogue Status and The Hundreds, Brooklyn Projects is not attempting to slow down in 2009. Apparently Brooklyn Projects is the next lucky Skate Shop to put their spin on the ever popular Nike SB Dunk. A teaser photo has just been leaked highlighting the shoes toe box. It appears from the photo that the shoe will feature an earth tone colorway; using green leather on the front panel, brown nubuck on the eyestay, and a heavily weathered yellow brown leather on the toe box and quarter panels. Of course the shoes are topped off with a dark yellow pair of the new super durable Nike SB Kevlar laces. Still, a lot remains to be seen, since it is unclear if this release is a low, mid, or high top version. However, it will not be long before we see more of these, the Nike SB Dunk by Brooklyn Projects is scheduled to release this March at select Nike SB accounts and Brooklyn Projects retail stores. Info: CtotheJL

Update: We’ve already written about the Dunk SB x Brooklyn Projects before we knew they were a Brooklyn Projects collaboration. Thanks to JR for the catch. Full photos below.."

Nike Air Hoop Structure - White - Aquamarie - Black Toe

    Quoted from source:
"The Air Structure Triax 91 which retroed for the first time during the Summer of 2008 has been a huge success for Nike with a variety of new colorways and the original colorways. The Nike Air Hoop Structure is a surprise to us as we’ve seen hybrids within categories but a cross category hybrid is fairly new. The Air Structure Triax 91 running sneaker has been turned into a basketball sneaker! The above colorway is very similar to the og Air Strcture Triax 91 in White Black Teal, but the teal is now aquamarine. There are a few more colors scheduled for Summer 2009 with the above dropping August 2009."

Nike Zoom Kobe IV - White - Black - Varsity Purple - Alternate

    Quoted from source:
"We used a picture of this colourway to showcase the unveiling immediately following our presentation of Nike’s Zoom Kobe IV unveiling webcast, but these are the first new shots we’ve seen since. A white shoe with a black Swoosh, heel/rear quarter and lining and purple sole-toe and laces, they’ll perfectly match the LA Lakers’ white jerseys. You’ll have your chance to rock these when they release next month at retailers like Dunk.com.cn

    Nike Kevin Durant - KD1 - Texas

    Quoted from source:
"Back in the Fall of 2008 Kevin Durant’s first signature sneaker debuted with good reception and seems to be a highly anticipated basketball kick of 2009. This version of the Nike KD1 throws it make to Kevin Durant’s college days at University of Texas. The shoe is fairly simple with a burnt orange and black sole, which features a nice, soft cushion of Nike Zoom technology. The upper features a bascially one-piece construction of black, textured leather with burnt orange stitching and a white Swoosh accented with burnt orange. KD shouts out to his mother with a graphic on the inner of the tongue-tab and also throws some quotations and statistics on the sole (which might remind you of a certain shoe that is represented by the letter “X”). Stay tuned for the official release information of this beauty."

This shoe is a fusion of all the signature Nike sneakers that Penny Hardaway wore throughout his career, taking inspiration from the Foamposite 1’s and the Air Max Penny II’s through Air Max Penny IV’s. This shoe will commemorate Penny’s All-Star career and celebrate his time with Nike. [Nike Vintage Blazer Hi - Pine Green Suede

    Quoted from source:
"Nike Vintage has been very successful with offerings from their running heritage. This year, Nike is looking back into their basketball archive to bring one of their original basketball models back into the market, the Nike Blazer Hi Suede. The above Pine Green and white pair just as the other two feature vintage styled suede on the upper and other details to make them look old fresh out of the box. The above, the Blazer Hi Suede in Varsity Red - White, and a blue colorway as part a pack of three are hitting European retailers now but should be at most Nike retailers worldwide soon. "

Nike Zoom LeBron VI(6) GS - Christmas Day

    Quoted from source:
"The Nike Zoom LeBron VI has, arguably, gotten more attention than any other signature basketball sneaker (with the exception of anything belonging to Michael Jordan) since the shoe’s debut a couple months back. Up next Nike Basketball has something in store for the youngsters and all you ladies who can fit into grade school sizes.

This Nike Zoom LeBron VI, which will be released in grade school sizes, comes in a “Christmas Day” theme with a very interesting colorway. Rather than what you may expect - Christmas colors - this Zoom LeBron VI comes in a black, white, blue and orange color scheme. The shoe features a textured, shiny, black upper with white around the toe-box and on the Swoosh, which is accented with orange. It is mostly white, but has orange stitching to go with an orange and blue out-sole. All these colors match the orange laces and the blue inner of the shoe. Could this be a signal of what’s to come in 2010. The only aspects of this shoe that will make you think of Christmas are the tree on the inside of the tongue tab and the image of LeBron playing basketball as a child on Christmas Day on the insole. These should hit Nike Basketball GS retailers sometime this month, so keep a look out."

    Nike Zoom Kobe IV

    Quoted from source:
"Yet another clean colorway has been revealed on the Nike Zoom Kobe IV, keeping Kobe’s latest signature shoe in the spotlight of basketball shoe news. The above Zoom Kobe IV is rumored to be part of a Playoff Pack. This shoe features some, or more accurately omits, colors that we don’t typically see on Kobe’s shoes (mainly that there is no purple).

Despite the lack of Lakers’ team colors, this shoe is still styled with a dope colorway of white/black-gold featuring a white and black sole accompanied by a white upper featuring black flywire. The black and gold accents can be found on the Swoosh, ankle support and laces. The tongue features a semi-enigmatic Kobe design with the word “Mamba” being easily identified. Stay tuned for more information regarding the official release of this Zoom Kobe IV, but for now you can head over to Marquee Sole for select sizes."

Nike Dunk SB Mid Premium - Sample

    Quoted from source:
"From time to time, a Nike SB sample pops up that we can’t help but wonder what we would have thought had it released. This Nike Dunk SB Mid Premium falls into that category with a look that reminds us of two notable Dunk SB Mid releases that dropped way back in 2007. According to NikeSB.com, this SB Mid was produced in 2006 and was originally intended to be the sample of the Nike Dunk SB 4711 Peacock, but Nike Skateboarding decided to to take the design you see above and spread it between the Peacock SB and the Linoleum SB Mid.

In case you don’t remember, the floral design you see on the shoe above was ultimately used for the Linoleum SB Mid while the buttery, aqua suede was reserved for the Peacock SB Mid, which featured a different floral design. Word is there were only 5 pairs made, and there is no likelihood that these will ever be released so just enjoy the pictures and keep checking Sneaker News in case a pair pops up for sale anytime in the future."

Nike Zoom LeBron James Ambassador - New Colorway - Asia Release

    Quoted from source:
"We saw a variety of Nike Zoom LeBron James Ambassador releases during the fourth quarter of 2008 and, just recently, another version was spotted in a a never-before-seen colorway. As the Ambassador has been released in limited quantities at the House of Hoops in several different color schemes, this particular edition has been seen at retailers in the Philippines - far from any HOH. The above version of the Ambassador is featured in a Navy/White-Crimson colorway with the navy being seen on the out-sole and all along the geometrically embossed leather that covers most of the upper. No word on official release in the United States or Europe, but stay tuned to Sneaker News for more information."

    Nike Dunk High Supreme Spark

    Quoted from source:
"Nike Sportswear’s Spring 2009 Collection of Dunks that are inspired by Nike ACG and the Safari Print continue to hit retailers as the latest Dunk out of the ACG/Safari Print inspired pack is this Dunk High Supreme Spark. This Dunk comes in a Surpeme treatment which means that superior materials are used as well as Nike Zoom Air for extra cushioning. This particular colorway of the Dunk High Supreme Spark features the colors Black, Rave Pink, and Citron as well as the Safarin Print on a number of different parts of the upper, but perhaps the best feature of this shoe is the Ice outsole that sneakerheads always migrate to. You can pick these up now at select Nike Sportswear retailers."

Nike Huarache 09 Supreme - Player Exclusives

    Quoted from source:
"The Nike Huarache 09 was debuted as a part of Nike’s Considered Design Project for 2009 back at the end of October and now that we’re almost halfway through the 2008-09 NBA Season some of the NBA players are finally switching into the Huarache 09. Now Nike has released the Nike Huarache 09 in a Supreme treatment for three different players including O.J. Mayo, Chris Bosh, and Tony Parker. Considering the different positions that these three players play it’s safe to say that the Huarache 09 is a shoe that caters to players of all positions whether you’re a Shooting Guard like Mayo, Power Forward like Bosh, or pure Point Guard like Parker. You can pick up either one of your favorite Player Exclusive Nike Huarache 09 Supreme’s at select Nike Basketball retailers in the upcoming weeks."
