an NFC West team will win the division with an 8-8 or worse record.

The Bucs and Giants will miss the playoffs at 10 - 6

should the NFL mandate that division winners only go to the playoffs if they have a winning record?? as in...allow a third wildcard team to advance if a division winners record is 500 or below.

should there be divisional realignment or are historic rivalries too important????

I really hope the Seahawks make the playoffs at 7-9 so these questions will be addressed.

They should keep it the same, but give the team with the better record home field advantage.

What if theres a good team in an otherwise weak division one year and another in a dogfight with a lot of good teams. Better record doesn't always mean better team. They should keep it the same

I should also point out that no one was complaining when the 2008 Chargers won their division at 8-8 and the Patriots missed the playoffs at 11-5.
