Some real music here man. Everything is on point, loving that piano and the bassline for sure. Bridge is real dope too.
Sol is the man........
Yeah definitely agree with them two. I just dont know if i agree with the snare you used though. Still dope as hell.
damn this is dope as fuck. melody and harmony is all very well played.
can you tell me what you did to get your drums so hard hitting.. did you layer 2-3 of em or thru mixing?
can you check out my beat and give me some advice.

i'm really trying to learn my best.. the top track is only my 3rd beat ever i'd appreciate it you could give me some pointers. rock life is my 2nd beat ever made.. they're pretty good for noob beats.. to me anyway. i'd still like to hear some opinions and some tips from more established producers. i would appreciate greatly, thanks bro.
Very nice blend of the old school sole and the new school one lol........
don't think i've heard an actual soulful piano from you in years

thank you all for the feedback
to answer your question on making drums hit hard: its a combination of several techniques & it takes a certain mindstate. the best way to understand the mindstate is: everything is relative. your drums will sound loud and crisp if all the instruments are mixed around them. tuck the instruments in around the drums. let the kick and snare really rip thru. also the hi hat should be relatively quiet compared to the kick & snare & drum fx. kick snare tom rolls etc should all dominate the mix. EQ is also essential. experiment with this until you get it right. Compression is huge. and so is side chaining certain instruments to your kick drum.
basically fam it took me 9 years to get to this point. when i started (for those out there who were here 9 years ago), drums were my weakness according to critics of my beats. now i've turned them into a strength. it just takes a lot lot lot of practice and thinking and studying
best way to put your mix to the test - go do a beat showcase in a club and compare how it sounds to what the DJ is playing and what other producers are playing
sol = boss
