Don't know if it's the operating system or what.

Adobe & CEP won't work, wtfff

    Programs won't even come up.

Vista identifies it as a Data Execution Prevention.. Some sort of security program, but it walks you through how you can take programs off (which I did), but nothing.

Anybody run into this with Vista?.. always worked fine in XP.

For what it's worth - I had one guy ask me once about a month or so ago that why some of his plugins are not working withing Cool-Edit running Vista 64Bit. He told me his cool-edit is working perfectly in 64bit Vista but his plugins are the only ones not working. So I guess I can safely tell you that CEP can work in 64bit Vista, now it's up to you to figure it out. Google is your friend I guess.

I'm running Adobe Audition 3.0 on my Vista 64bit computer just fine. With a new high end soundcard. Not only that, but it runs better with more plugins than it did on my XP 32bit computer.

I use WAVES, and a lot of other higher end plugins too.

So it should definitely work for you.

Better options than CEP? For what? lol, if he's just recording vocals, then it does everything any other program does, and it's probably one of the better editors out there.

That is, if he's talking about Adobe Audition 3.

CEP isn't 64bit compatible.. get the latest version of Adobe Audition and reinstall and then you'll be good.
