gun shots sound cheesy. but beat is hot.

damn.u good at both aspects: rapping/producing.

It's GREAT to be able to do both. and do it well!! so now, nothing is stopping you.

Yeah I listened to the gunshots again.
In the beginnin they sound cheesy.
Especially w/ that Flanger effect I have on it.

But do they sound cheesy to ya'll in the beat? Or just in the beginning?

Good Lookin Smooth, Man the only thing stoppin me now is Me.
I'm tryin to get this Fantom X and some monitors, then i'm gonna be on this shit religiously.

gun shot effect is corny.. u should probably lengthn the horn .. the crashes r cool.. not really feelin the drums tho.. kinda sound hollow.. the lil percussions and scratch r cool.. better mixing could be done.. i like the hook.. not bad man.. keep growing.. px

Nice synth, in the beginning, and personally I don't like those effects on the guns, feelin' this beat, the horns could use some more livelyness, a mixer does that pretty good. Add a Chorus effect to it, and that bass is bangin' when the pattern ends. Give the horn some reverb too. That synth comes again in the middle of the song, feelin' that synth, it's just not mixed very well. Add a constant bassline. And turn the scratches a lot. For now, 7/10.

No hatin' homie. Thanks fo' checkin' out my beat, the quality was ass cause of the 128k. Uppin', one.

    Good lookin out
Man I dont take it as hatin.

I'm not a polished producer. so I take everything into consideration.
This beat was actually not complete but my computer crashed. So I couldnt really do too much but Master what I already had mixed down.

    Good lookin out

The beat is tight-later for all of the "cheesy" talk. The beat isn't wack at all. I wouldn't put it in the "grimey street" category, but it's definitely solid. Do yourself a favor and IGNORE THE IGNORAMUSES who put stupid comments. This is a good beat.

    Ya' heard?

This ain't too bad at all. I agree with Magick, 7/10. Wasn't quite as hittin' as I expected. It might hit harder if the melody wasn't so empty. But the gunshots were awesome! I really dig those. Keep it up man.

I ain't got west cost gangsta stuff yet, but check this out anyway. It still hits pretty hard:

The track is called Lifted Up. Kinda dirty south.

This shit is hard. The horn swtiches to awkward notes which bothers me. Keep that shit on the same note. The synths work well. The snare is boarderline too generic. Othe then that this shit bangs.
