let's pretend the people on the cruise didn't say anything about Muslims and that their comments aren't representative of the people who support this administration's foreign policy...

  3. You don't understand the rules of power, Id-X.

Politicians and civilians live in two totally different worlds.

How one communicates to the other is everything but direct, no matter what ideology you subscribe to. Socialists convince themselves they can talk to the masses by appealing to their desire to work slavishly, Conservatives convince thmselves they can talk to their masses by appealing to there desire for God. Dictators convince themselves a strict bueracratic delegation appeals to the masses desire for a predictable order. Either way, politicians are dependent on this communication to persist within their space of civilization.

Neoconservatives are new to the scene. They are finding their way. They will become realist soon enough and when that happens, kiss Marx goodbye.

  4. Having a heavy background in sociological theology, Id-X, I would expect you to know the course of evolution of Marx, which has currently ended with Neoconservatives, the *TRUE* heir of Marxist doctrine simply because they have rebelled against it.

still doesn't have anything to do with my ability to teach the courses teach.

Marx doesn't exactly guide the discipline or anything. Except for courses on social theory, few people (in my department anyway) cite Marx in their current research...it would be irrelevant?

but topics irrelevant to the initial post AND baseless comments about others' credentials will score you big points...

  14. Yeah, because explaining the origins of Neoconservatism in a thread about Neoconservatism to a community that has *NO* idea what Neoconservatism is about is clearly off point, professor.

So, uh, have YOU evolved past Marx yet, or are you still clinging to those theories about how poor people need help from themselves and govermnet intervention is the only way?

Where did I say anything about neoconservativism in that response? No where. I'm just suprised a school would allow your doltish fat ass to teach. You obviously don't teach media has a liberal bias. No what you teach is ideology. I had a few professors who taught ideology over substance, Only difference is you're a complete moron at it. You teach ideological theories, nothing more, you're pointless.

Don't take something you said to Ghet and apply it to me.
I didn't even word my response the same way.

it was a thread about "what conservatives say when they think we aren't listening".

    For future reference: http://www.harcourtschool.com/activity/book_buddy/rosie/skill_pre.html

    - the bolded part has nothing to do with Marx
    - I never cling to such an idea in the first place

  18. And why aren't you posting what Socialists say when you think we aren't listening? Or does that not matter since we live in their world structure?

Aww Id-X is still carrying over beef he had as a teenager against all 'logical' arguments he had about this silly God character. Time to focus on an ideology that is fundamentally incapable of controlling the world!

When Id-X begins the long train of denial of association, it is followed up with absolute statements about how he was never part of anything, followed up with a continued denial until he can exploit the most insignificant detail into a grander event to divert attention to it.

I know women that do the same thing.

That's the point of people who follow the prophet Marx. They aren't -SUPPOSED- to admit it in public. That's what seperates you from myself. I hold ideas responsible for their ramifications. You put up a coy feminine act claiming all ideas are innocent until proven guilty, and even when they murder hundreds of millions, you can still spin it as "overall better for the public good"... whatever the fuck that means.

Marx isn't about centralized government? pfft. What other form could his predictions realistically take? Wait until capitalist governments capitulate? And then what? Move in with your Western doctrine of universal humanism to a bunch of cultures who refuse with their lives to comprehend that? Or perhaps its the inevitable end state of the human race? Dogmatic fucks.

because such an article wasn't posted on a listserv that I am a part of... [dunno]

I'd be interested to see the contents of such an article.

do you hear voices? do you have some sort of secret decoder ring that translates what I post and what everyone else reads into something else?

you seem to know an awful lot about me for, you know, NOT knowing me.

You're claiming that my not publicly admitting to "following" Marx is evidence of my following Marx?

I know conspiracy theorist, Zionist-fearing, Illuminati-fearing nuts who use the same logic.

i've asked on more than one occasion...

...have you ever even read Marx? he made assessments. he made predictions. there was no "moving in" with him. ever.
